Just another one of those videos that you wish kept going, but unfortunately ends at the 3:00 mark. Tyler had a bit of a slow start after his knee injury, but it is safe to say he is back and he's hitting it harder than ever. He killed it in all of the ELYTS El Paso edits, and now he slays even more rails and ledges in his Reventon V2 Promo. Check it.

Jon Reyes Flat Edit 4 + Exclusive Interview
Jon had a tough year in 2013, a terrible knee injury, and an extremely rough recovery. It all paid off though, because Jon has finally finished and released his Flat Edit 4. Jon's Flat Edits are some of the most popular edits to drop, and I am sure this one will be no different.
Below is an exclusive interview that Jon did with Inside-Scooters. Check it out, and enjoy the video.
Thanks for reaching out to me Steven. Yea after recovering and tripping to Cali, it's done. Well, April 7th 2013, Rye Airfield Competition was the day it happened. Half way through my run I bailed on over flipping this hip, stuck my leg out, and "pop pop pop", those exact feelings. Went to stand up and collapsed. Right there I knew I messed up hard time. May 7th was the surgery, located at Hospital of Special Surgery in New York City. A lot of the top pros from the east coast go there to get work done. 8 months and 17 days of rehab, relearning the basics, and trying to push past that, here we are today.
One of the craziest feelings ever was the first phone call I received place an order on one of my sig decks that were part of the fundraiser. I said "Hello, Spokesman Cycles" and I heard "Wussup fool?!?!" Yup Raymond Warner. Literally teared when I knew he was calling to be the first to order. Minutes after Ryan Gould, following 51 others who called to place orders for the decks. To this day I'm so thankful for Phoenix for donating all those deck, Spokesman Cycles, for holding the headquarters down for shipping them and everyone else who donated. Also Kenny Carlile for creating www.FixJonsKnee.com, a way of spreading the word by hosting raffles where all the proceeds went to my medial bills. Forever grateful.
This was nothing like any other workout session. Relearning how to walk was probably the craziest experience ever. My mind knew what I had to do but my body was on pause. I had that mental block for the longest time.
To be able to pop a nice bunny hop was the day I knew all that work paid off and not to stop and keep going.
So stressful. I've watched so many bmx flatland edits and dream to be able to make it possible on a scoot. There's only so much you can do with 110mm wheels and tiny pegs, but you can for sure allow your imagination to create.
Not one bit. I ride for myself, and theres one thing that drives me to be different. To be able to create or invent a trick is the best feeling ever. R-willy must know exactly what that feels like hahaha. I'm never satisfied with a clip if I know someone has done it already or will come close.
I've been getting flat clips and vids constantly from kids around the world. It's sick to see others try to create and invent as well. I can't wait to have one big session with all the flat dudes from around the world one day, maybe future competitions would be a way gathering.
The Homies! Even if I went out there without my scoot, I still would have had an amazing time chilling with them. Ray going in with the filming ideas and R-Gould giving me the luxury of staying at his house. Ah that coffee ice cream..mmmm…. I so grateful to know great people like that, and without them this video would not have been possible.
Couldn't ask for a better relationship. Phoenix is all ears, and is all about rider ideas and production of the strongest stuff. Yessir, right now we're working on the Revy V2 and a lot more of us will have sig decks this year, that way all the kids will have all the choices they want. Also coming out with sig handle by Phoenix, which I'm sure everyone pretty much knows about already. This year will be exciting.

Below is an exclusive interview that Jon did with Inside-Scooters. Check it out, and enjoy the video.
- Jon, I'll be the first to say I am glad we're sitting here discussing the fact that you finished your 4th Flat Edit. Especially because at one point last year we were sitting here worried that you might not ride again due to your knee injury. Talk to us about that injury and how it happened.
- You received a huge amount of support from the community and industry with your knee, how did it feel getting that kind of support from not only people you knew, but also people that you didn't know?
- You did a LOT of physical rehab and training during your recovery, but I've always known you to be a pretty fit guy. That being said, how was the whole rehab process?
- How good did it feel to finally get back on your scooter once you were all healed up?
- Ok... Flat Edit 4. You've filmed for normal edits before, how much different is it to film for a flat edit?
So stressful. I've watched so many bmx flatland edits and dream to be able to make it possible on a scoot. There's only so much you can do with 110mm wheels and tiny pegs, but you can for sure allow your imagination to create.
- Gotta be real with you dude, some people don't respect the flat game. Does that bother you at all?
- Regardless of what people think of flat riding, you are definitely inspiring a lot of other riders to push their flat game further. How does it feel seeing younger riders imitating your tricks in their own flat edits?
- You did a lot of filming for this out in California, and it seemed like spent a lot of time with R Gould and R Dub, how'd that all go?
- How are things with Phoenix? Any plans for a new deck or sig part in the future?
- Well Jon, I am seriously stoked that Flat Edit 4 has dropped...and to be honest I haven't even got to watch it yet.. So let's wrap this up, and I'm gonna go hard on that Play button. Any last words or shout outs, let em go now man.
Thanks again Steven for giving me this opportunity to share my thoughts and words with you and everyone who reads this. Things happen for a reason, have no regrets but learn and appreciate everything and everyone around you. Having those good feelings provide you with the positive energy you will need to achieve anything. Thanks for your support. Enjoy!

SDG to handle Phoenix Distribution in Europe
From here on out if you're in Europe and you want to rep Phoenix products, it's going to be a lot easier. This press release was released earlier this month. Check it out.
PRESS RELEASE:
SDG Distribution to handle
Phoenix Scooters in Europe
Date:
10/17/2013
Beaverton, Oregon – Phoenix Sports, Inc. proudly announces a new partnership
with the European distributor SDG. SDG will be handling sales of Phoenix Pro
Scooters in ALL European countries from their warehouse in France.
With the SESSION by Phoenix brand available to the public in
December, SDG anticipates a strong holiday sales season and is ready to service
its hundreds of established customers throughout Europe.
“As we strive to push industry standards and make the highest
quality scooters on the planet, there is no better partner in Europe than SDG.”
Said Tom Floyd, founder of Phoenix Pro Scooters. “We are looking forward to the future and
felt it was imperative to offer the same level of professional sales and
service that we offer here in the United States.” Floyd added.
SDG has been extremely dedicated to the sport of Freestyle
Scootering and was responsible this year for creating a presence at Europe’s
largest freestyle event called FISE. Years before, FISE had only welcomed BMX,
Skateboarding, Wake boarding, and several other sports. SDG went out of their
way so scootering could be present in a large scale event.
“We are so happy and proud
to now supply PHOENIX in Europe. If i had only 3 words to talk about
Phoenix, they will be : solidity, USA and street. It is very interesting for us to develop a
true brand in Europe with values, history and expertise. Moreover, the image of
Phoenix is in harmony with the european spirit. Thats why, we are so
happy to be in charge of Phoenix.” Commented Arnaud Le Luhern, SDG’s Marketing
Manager.
“The rider’s community respect this
brand and its crazy team! They can shred anything and always with
style. I know the main goal of PHOENIX is to make some
strong parts and, along with the know-how of the company, this
is the most important for us. The mix between the Session line and the Reventon
will be a great asset and value for the consumer. Can’t wait to start!” he
added.
Together SDG and Phoenix will continue to push industry standards,
continue to supply high end scooters and maintain excellent customer service.
Dan Barrett has this to say about the partnership between SDG and
Phoenix: “Europe is one of my favorite places to ride, film and chill. In the
past when I was at the street jams and contests it seemed like everybody knew
about Phoenix, wanted Phoenix, but couldn’t afford it. With our new SESSION by
Phoenix brand coming out and this new partnership with SDG, I'm more than
stoked that people can experience riding parts that we put so much work into
with designing and testing.”

Tyler Bonner 2013 Web Edit
Let's see.. a year ago Tyler couldn't even walk, let alone ride a scooter. Fast forward to now, and T Bone is back and better than ever. He's picked up a ton of new tricks, and the tricks that people thought he lost, well he has em back too. I've known Tyler since he was a little kid just trying to hang with the big dogs of the NW, and to see how far he's come is so sick. Sit back and enjoy his 2013 Web Edit.

Phoenix Pro Scooters starts "SESSION by Phoenix" Brand
For as long as I can remember, Phoenix has been one of the few companies that manufactured all of their products in the USA. However, when 90% of all other companies are going to China, making cheaper parts not only in price, but some, in quality as well, you as a company have to act. Phoenix has done just that, by starting SESSION by Phoenix. For more information check out the press release, and the interview with Phoenix founder, Tom Floyd.
PRESS RELEASE:
Phoenix Pro Scooters
announces new brand: SESSION by Phoenix
From:
Phoenix Sports, Inc. Date:
9/17/2013
Beaverton, Oregon – Phoenix Pro
Scooters announced today that it will debut a new line under the “SESSION by
Phoenix” brand name. For years, Phoenix
Pro Scooters has produced a high-end line of freestyle scooter decks and parts
handmade in the USA and aimed at the professional level rider. As the sport has grown, and more brands have
surfaced, Phoenix has stood alone as the leader in the high-end segment of the
market. While this has been a
prestigious position, it has also come with unique challenges and obstacles. Dan Barrett, recently appointed Marketing
Manager had this to say, “Being on Phoenix and growing my relationship with Tom
has been the best decision ever. The years I have been on Phoenix I've never
broken a part or had any major problems with my scooter. That being said, it's
one of the main reasons I'm a part of Phoenix. It's a huge relief not to worry
about my scooter. It's our main focus over here to make sure our scooters are
the best.”
In an interview, company founder, Tom Floyd
talked about the new line:
Q: What was the reason for starting a new
brand? -
A: From the beginning, when I started
Phoenix, I have always been dedicated to providing riders with the best decks
and parts I could make. I want riders to be able to trust our products and push
themselves and the limits of the sport.
As the sport has matured, we have found our retail pricing to be out of
reach for most riders. The reason for
starting this new brand is to make our products more affordable.
Q: How do you plan to accomplish that? –
A: I have always been dedicated to
manufacturing here in the USA. However,
with high manufacturing costs and long lead times, we have not had the ability
to lower our retail prices. It has
literally forced us to hold our pricing higher due to those costs. As the scooter scene developed and more
riders have come into the sport, Phoenix became an “Aspirational Brand”. We have done ok in America, but
internationally, we have never been able to offer big enough discounts to keep
our retail prices within reach of the riders in foreign countries. For that reason, our team has decided to make
the SESSION by Phoenix line in China.
Q: Do you think you can still produce
quality parts that live up to the Phoenix name? –
A: Yes.
All the parts in the line are still designed here at the Phoenix factory
with our riders input as well as our years of design and engineering
experience. We are not simply choosing
our new parts out of some catalog as others have done. For example; The SESSION deck was designed by
Evan Larson and myself and has been tested and produced here in the USA before
taking the manufacturing overseas. Any
parts we decided to make were carefully considered for the cost savings and no
compromises were made in material selection or manufacturing techniques. In fact, our lead welder and myself went over
and spent a week in the factory training workers in our welding and production
methods.
Q: What about keeping jobs here in the US?
–
A: I have personally struggled with this
and at the end of the day I am ok with what we are doing because it allows us
to continue to employ riders like Evan Larson, Cooper Klaar, Dan Barrett and
Chase Robertson, all of whom I met through scootering. My loyalty IS to my riders, employees and
their families. Phoenix is an American
company, plain and simple. My job is to
grow our business and protect our employees’ jobs. Everything we are doing ensures that our
employees and our Pro Riders will continue to get a paycheck.
Q: How can you be sure the quality will be
there? –
A: These are 100% Phoenix designs which
have engineering, material specifications, heat treating methods and production
procedures carefully spelled out.
Additionally, we have a production manager in place who works at the
factory every day to oversee that those standards are being met. Each
and every component has been submitted for testing and cannot be produced until
our riders sign off on the control sample.
Q: What about Phoenix Pro Scooters? –
A: We will still be making an exclusive
range of decks and bars here in the US under the Phoenix Pro Scooters
name. Reventon decks and SV2 bars will
still be made in our shop and our new Reventon V2 is in the planning stages and
our riders sig models are underway. I felt it was important to create a new
brand to preserve the prestige of the American Made product. Of course, it will also have the higher price
tag as well.
Q: So how does this move affect the sport?
A: It allows us to grow our marketing
budget and keep our team employed and travelling. Our riders have so many creative ideas for
filming trips and places they want to see the sport exposed. We believe that our riders involvement in the
scene is critical to keeping our brand message on point. Running a profitable, healthy business also
allows us support more comps and events and provides the resources to send our
team to those events on a more consistent basis.
Q: What will SESSION by Phoenix be
offering? –
A: We have a new 4.25 complete at $249 and
the new 4.5 complete at $349 US Retail.
We will be offering the SESSION 4.5 as a deck only in 20” and 21” lengths
and we have new wheels coming which the riders have already been testing and
love. Also, we will have grips, headsets
and griptape.
The new SESSION by Phoenix product range
will debut at the 2013 Interbike tradeshow in Las Vegas and be available for
dealers in November in time for Christmas.

Dan Barret Phoenix Scooters, Get Wit It Edit
Dan said these clips weren't good enough for his next edit, I don't get that, cause a lot of these clips were fire. Dan has been one of my favorite riders to watch for years now, and it's easy to see why. His tech riding is some of the best in the sport, and this B footage edit, has me stoked for his next real edit to drop.

Phoenix Combo Contest Winners Announced
Recently Jon Reyes and Dan Barrett held a contest where they gave riders the opportunity to put together their best tech edit, and in return they would win some pretty legit stuff from Dan or Jon. The edits that came out were really fun to watch, and in the end I definitely think the right riders won. Below are the winners, and the edits that got that won for them.
Honestly, Kyron shocked the hell out of me. I think it was definitely between Kilean and Kyron, but that must have been hard to judge.
..Oh and anyone else notice all their names start with K? Just saying.
1st Place - Kilean Pernsteiner (Choose between Dan Barrett Sig Deck, or Jon Reyes All Is Possible clothing)
2nd Place - Kyron Power (Cooper Klaar Bars and a Fork)
3rd Place - Kyle Tolentino (Magray SLI Pegs)

Jon has always been known for his tech riding, and he definitely has plenty of good tech clips in the video. He also has the ability to make double bars, and bar to bars look incredibly easy, which in street, they're not. Check out Jon's latest below.

Rainy Days at the Phoenix Shop with Evan Larson
If you're lucky enough to be on Phoenix Pro Scooters, and it rains, the day isn't so bad after all. Because you can get a solid sesh going inside the Phoenix Warehouse. Evan Larson, recently hit up the shop on a rainy night, and got some clips. You should also take notice of the wheels he's testing in this little edit. They're Rogue Wheels, which for those who don't know, is Dan Barrett's wheel company. Hopefully more info on that will drop soon.

Dan Barrett 2012 Edit
For years Dan has made his mark time and time again as one of the sports leading tech riders. No matter what he is riding from a mini ramp, to a manual pad, he will throw his signature style all over it. 2012 has treated Dan very nice, he traveled a lot this year, of course has his signature deck with Phoenix, got an interview in Dialed Issue 3, and as some may know is starting his own wheel company. My respect grew for Dan a lot after reading his interview in Dialed, which you guys can catch in January. He truly is an all around good guy, and one of my favorite riders to watch hands down. That being said, check out his 2012 Edit below, and get your mind blown.

Phoenix Welcomes Kiara Meade
The Phoenix Team just got a little bit bigger, by picking up a rider whos a little bit smaller than most of their riders. Kiara Meade is the latest rider to hit Phoenix, and I believe their first and only female rider. For a while now a lot of people have believed Kiara to be the best female rider in the sport. Gotta be real, most female riders lovee doing flyout..Well Kiara boosts boxes at TIC like it's no big deal, and her trick list has vastly improved which you can see in her edit below. Dan Barrett and Myself also caught up with Kiara to get a little interview in which you can read below.
Most of the guys on the Pro team have signature decks, would you ever want a signature deck? If so what would it look like?
For the people who
don't know you that much, let us know a little bit more about yourself.
I'm Kiara Meade, live
in NJ, I'm 13 years old and have been riding for about 4 years now.
So you've gotten on
the Phoenix AM team, how did this happen? How did you get on?
Well, I was thinking
it was about time to move on from Razor, but don't get me wrong, they did treat
me very well! So i started talking to Dan a little more about Phoenix and he
brought the idea to Tom, and he was stoked about the idea of me being a part of
the team, and I took a stop on AM. So Dan is how got on the team.
Besides Phoenix giving
you the spot on their AM team, what other reasons bring you to be apart of
Phoenix?
A big reason is Dan
and Jon. We have been close since we all used to be on a shop team called FSP,
but then we all split apart from them. I think it is amazing we have all of us
together again. i really like the other team riders as well. Also, I had always
liked Phoenix parts. My past 2 setups both had Phoenix decks on them!
Any hard feelings
between you and Razor that you made the switch?
Not at all! I had
informed them in the nicest way possible, and they where completely
understanding, which was very awesome of everyone!
What made you want to
ride for Phoenix, as opposed to say... the Madd Girls Team?
To be honest, I don't
really like the MADD products. I like to ride with what I feel comfortable
with. Also, I would rather ride with everyone on one team, because I don't like
the idea of being on a different team and kind-of being separated from the guys
based on gender.
Do you ever get some
of the guys at TIC, or male riders in general talking down on you because
you're a girl?
To be honest, not very
often. My close friends are super cool about it and don't have anything against
it. But, there are some people that don't know enough about me and assume I
can't do it. Hopefully, I change their mind when they see me ride.
You have any love for
street riding?
Im not the biggest fan
of it as you can see haha, but sometimes if im at a good spot with friends, its
super fun. I just don't like to film it because im not the greatest at it, and
it just isn't my type of riding.
Most of the guys on the Pro team have signature decks, would you ever want a signature deck? If so what would it look like?
I would really like to
have a signature deck one day! If i were to have one it would probably be
purple with some type of NJ logo on it with Casino Pier, what my local amusement
park on Seaside Board walk used to look like before the hurricane destroyed it.
How's it feel to be so
young and have so much opportunity? (Traveling, being sponsored, having people
look up to you)
It is amazing! I
really can't even explain! I am so grateful for what I have. Not many people
have the opportunity to do what I do, so I really need to be thankful, and I
am. But it didn't come from nothing. I worked hard for where i am today.Barking
Spider and Phoenix are also helping me very much, always making sure i have an
awesome scooter to ride!. I really want to thank my dad for everything he has
done for me throughout my career, because if it wasn't for him, i wouldn't be
who i am today.
Do you eventually see
yourself getting on the Phoenix Pro team??
One day i think it
will happen i know it! But i always have to keep pushing myself harder and
harder and keep improving my riding every day. If you really want something,
you have to work for it.
Is there any riders
you look up to?
I really look up to
Joey Aria. He always has his head up no matter what! He has one of the most
unique/sickest styles i have ever seen, and i love the way he rides and his
awesome personality. He is such a good influence and is for sure a person any
young rider should look up to, also.
Is it weird going
against the riders you look up to in competitions?
I don't think so at
all. We are all just friends having fun. But at the same time, it's crazy that
i used to be so little always wanting to be like them, and now im going up
against people i always used to want to be like.
Where do you see
yourself in 5-10 years?
In the future, i would
like to continue riding, but when i become older, i would like to own some type
of scooter shop or a scooter company.
There is a good amount
of girl scooter riders out there, is there any advice you would like to give to
them?
Don't let any of the
guys bring you down, because you can do it. Just because we are girls doesn't
mean we can't be as good as them, it's just their excuse. Look how far i have
came, if i can do it, anyone else can too. You just need to work hard at what
you want, and sooner or later it will come.

Phoenix Becomes Exclusive US Distributor of Magray
Pretty stoked for Eric Magray, dude is making moves. For more information check out the press release from Phoenix earlier this week.
"Portland, OR December 5, 2012 – Phoenix Sports Distribution, announces the exclusive US distribution of Magray Scooter Company. Currently, Phoenix Sports Distribution is distributing the Magray SLI pegs.
“I've always thought Phoenix
produces some of the best quality parts and contributes so much to the sport.
Being friends with a lot of the pros, I also know that Phoenix treats their
riders very well compared to most companies," commented Eric Magray, Owner, Magray
Scooter Co, "With such a good standing in the community, Phoenix is a
symbol for how Magray could be, so deciding to work with them was a
no-brainer."
Magray SLI Pegs are
designed to combine the strength of chromoly with the ultra-smooth sliding characteristics
