Dan Barrett 2012 Edit

For years Dan has made his mark time and time again as one of the sports leading tech riders. No matter what he is riding from a mini ramp, to a manual pad, he will throw his signature style all over it. 2012 has treated Dan very nice, he traveled a lot this year, of course has his signature deck with Phoenix, got an interview in Dialed Issue 3, and as some may know is starting his own wheel company. My respect grew for Dan a lot after reading his interview in Dialed, which you guys can catch in January. He truly is an all around good guy, and one of my favorite riders to watch hands down. That being said, check out his 2012 Edit below, and get your mind blown.

  1. Can "pulling a barrett" be synonymous for being a tech god now?

  2. This video basically took 2 minutes to start, and the song was way to slow, im not trying to sound like my mom or anything but the songs also had so much unnecessary Profanity which through Dans flow riding off but other then all those flaws it was a pretty dope edit. :)

    2. yea I wasn't too hyped that literally half the video was an intro. I'm all for an intro that kinda shows the persons lifestyle a bit but when it goes on longer than like a minute it's kind of overkill in my opinion. Riding wise this video is sick as hell though

  6. For once, I didn't mind the song, but it's funny how most scooter vids got a seriously macho hip hop soundtrack. Granted that tough hip hop is the go-to music for young men and teens who are just growing into their manhoood, and hip hop is part of the lifestyle for many dudes out there, but I can't shake the feeling off that all those tough-guy soundtracks are so prominent because everyone is still afraid of scootering having a bad rep and being perceived as childish or "gay"(don't get me started on how weak it is to use this term as a slur), especially by the other freestyle sports. I am hoping for scootering to become more diverse and inclusive as the scooter generation gets older. Anyway, these are my thoughts on youth culture and freestyle scootering. If you don't like my thoughts or are stuck in puberty, I apologize, just ignore it. Scootering is awesome though. Oh yeah, sorry, i don't have any profile on my own here. My name is Frank.

  8. Thanks for all the complements guys, next time the song won't be as potent in cursing. The song has a hype feel to it, and thought my video would too. I look up to the artist a bit too from his childhood to where he is now and the song sorta gave you a feel for it.
