Welcome to ELYTS and Welcome to AO

Below we have two new "Welcome" edits for AO and ELYTS. First up for ELYTS we have Elliot Arnold. I posted one of his videos before when he got onto MGP, but I'm not sure if he's still with them or not, considering a lot of this edit he is on what looks like an AO deck. Either way, he is a good rider with all around skills in street and park. For AO we have George Gartlehner coming out of Austria. All around shredder, who seems to favor big gaps, making Zig a big fan of his riding as you can see from the beginning of the edit. Check em both out below.

This might be one of my favorite edits featuring Dan and Jon, and it seems like we've been seeing a lot more of them this past year. Which I have no problem with. Technically these guys bring riding to a new level. Definitely check out this edit they made for All Is Possible.

Fidelity Online Video Magazine December 2012

This month's Fidelity issue is out now.  It features an interview with Matt Somers, footage from a recent Shields competition, an interview with the Funk brothers, highlights from Woodward West, and an interview with the one and only Nick Hodgskin, aka Nickeh.  Ryan Upchurch is working super hard on bringing these to you guys so you should support him and check it out.

Dan Barrett and Ryan Gould Scooter Check 2012

Phoenix Pro's Dan Barrett and Ryan Gould filmed these scooter checks while at Woodward West. The clips though were filmed at the Riverside Scooter Zone Skatepark. Got a few really good clips towards the end. Also wondering, with Ryan Gould continuing to get better and better, when are we going to see his first signature product from Phoenix?

Exode's Michael Goumaz traveled down to Copenhagen to ride and film with new Exode team member Hugo Svare and the rest of the HooTigh guys.  They got some gnarly footage, check it out.

Man, I don't even know. Remi is one of those riders that seems like he doesn't really have a limit to what he can do. It's like when he's riding, he's actually holding back all the time, but if he wants you can tell he can toss in an extra whip at any time. Just makes it all look too easy. Madd Gear XMas Gift

By now we should all be aware of how devastating Hurricane Sandy was to everyone on the East Coast. I have friends over there who had their entire houses burnt to the ground, people who lost everything, and lives were lost. Well Madd Gear is inviting all of you to do your part to help out everyone affected by the storm.

It's pretty simple really. If you're on the East Coast..you can ride TIC for free all day. All you have to do is bring one non perishable food item to donate. All the items brought for donation will be donated to the Raine Foundation, a local charity group that is helping families that were affected by Hurricane Sandy. Back west in Arizona, Flipside Ridehouse and MGP got together so that on the same day you can spend the day riding at AZ Grind for their X Mas party. A portion of your entry fee to the park will also be donated to help families affected by Sandy. For more information check the flyers below.

Aberdeen Skatepark Webisode

A few East coast riders went on a little road trip to Maryland and rode this haggard but fun looking park.  Riders included a couple names you already know (Jake Hershey and Jon Devrind) but also some newer  ones (Dylan Howard, Aubrey Washington).  JonDev always goes hard, smith nose manny 180 bar was gooood.  Overall a chill video.

Kids From Copenhagen

Well, I guess if you're a young rider in Copenhagen you never go through that stage of fly out, bri flips, and horrible edits with overused songs. These are some of the young up and comers from Copenhagen, and they are already starting to put out solid edits. Below is a word from Denmark OG, Johan Grunwald.

"You know how every time you see scooter videos from young riders, all they are doing is the same tricks? Briflips, mini ramp stalls, plain 360's and shit. Oh yeah. And to complete it, they through a nice dubstep song, to make it super legit.

Well now I want to show you how the youngsters and new riders in Copenhagen make a scooter video."

WeScooterTV Vlog #4: Street vs Park

Okay well first of all I'm not really sure if this animosity between two groups of riders really exists but Edgar here goes into some reasons why it might.  As far as my experience goes yeah there might be a few guys on both sides who don't respect the others but for the most part I think everyone respects everyone else who's out there just shredding, no matter what the terrain.  The only real problem I personally have with park is just little kids riding flyout or snaking people.  The parts where he talks about videos and competitions however are spot on.  To me personally, scooter riding is an art, but to others it is a competition, and that's totally fine.  What do you think?
