Blunt Complete Review + Win a Free Blunt Complete Contest!

Blunt Pro Scooters, known as Envy Pro Scooters in Australia is one company that is always trying to stay innovative with their designs and products. Blunt realized that one of the things that are hard to come by are reliable and affordable “Complete” scooters. So they started to produce the Blunt Completes. They come in quite a few different color combinations, and we recently got one to review here at Inside-Scooters. So let’s get into it.



We will go from the top to the bottom.

The grips that come with the Blunt Complete are the signature Blunt grips. I’m pretty picky when it comes to grips, but these felt pretty good. Not to hard and not to soft. I’m sure once you ride them for a while they will break in pretty good. I didn’t ride them for too long, so I don’t know if they wear quickly or not, I would hope they don’t.
The bars that come with the complete are 22 x 18 stripper bars. There’s not much to say about them that isn’t already known. They are really comfortable, really light, and come in the bmx style design, as opposed to the T bar style.
Going lower you got the Blunt 3 bolt clamp. Tightened it once, and never had to worry about it again. Really strong clamp from what I saw. Then you got the Blunt sealed headset, which spins like a dream. Didn’t have any problems with either of these.
Down to the fork, on the complete I received were the Blunt S.O.B. Forks, though I know some shops are selling them with the Blunt IHC Forks. They’re threadless, and really light.
The deck is the Blunt Envy Deck. It is nicely rounded on the sides and very fingerwhip friendly. It comes with the Blunt flex brake, which worked good, and kept the scooter sounding solid. The thing I noticed the most was how light the deck was. A heavy street rider might think twice about trying anything big. But if you are a little on the lighter side, you will get a lot of life out of this deck. You will also get signature Blunt griptape with the complete.
Finally down to the wheels. They were really fast. Blunt I tried to dehub them for a while, did some powerslides and some really hard sideways landings…but they held up just fine. Being a big wheel guy, I would say these were probably my favorite part on the Blunt complete.


Overall this is a great scooter for any rider. Whether you are just getting into the sport, or are simply looking for a really solid complete scooter. For the price you are getting a really good deal. As I mentioned above if you are a rider who isn’t too graceful with their landings, and rides a lot of big street. This might not be the deck for you. But if you are on the lighter side, and prefer to ride a lot of park, I don’t think you will have any problems this deck.

Capron Funk Welcome to Maddgear Edit + Bonus Ryan Williams Double Flair to Wood

Capron Funk has been on MGP for a while now, but only recently finished his Welcome to Maddgear Edit. Capron has so many different trick combos, and does all of them pretty effortlessly. I don't think the video showed Capron's expertise at hang 5s though, because he is definitely one of the best in the game at them. Check out his edit below.





In other news down in Australia...Ryan Williams has started to take his double flairs to wood. How long before he lands them? Your guess is as good as mine. Rest assure when he does land it, you guys will be able to check it out here on Inside-Scooters.

Billy Evers

Billy has been coming up in the park game for some time now, and recently filmed this video showing his skills..not only park but a few street clips in here too, pretty dig.

Josh Brown Fuzion Promo

Josh has been filming for this for the past four months.  He now rides for the Fuzion Pro Team...he seems to be progressing with his street game, throwing even gnarlier tricks down gnarlier sets and gaps.  Looks like he's getting rails down too which is awesome.  Pretty crazy stuff.

Blunt's Ryan Upchurch recently took a trip down to Cali, and while it was only for a few days he got some sick footage with fellow Blunt rider Michael Knudson. Check it out below.

Scooter Zone Team rider Ryan Gould get this edit together from footage filmed this past October. Ryan is one of the nicest guys I've met in a long time. Addison McNaughton BoxesLTD Promo

Addison recently finished his promo for boxes. It is always good to see one of the pioneers of street riding, and a true OG in the sport still killing it. The below is a piece from the Boxes website.

Our sport is progressing faster then we can seem to keep up with, and with that comes tons of new riders with better and better skills. Davenportage 2.5

This one is for the homies.  Davenportage 2.5 is a montage featuring Zach Johnston, Issac Miller, myself, and a few other midwest riders at Davenport Skatepark.  2.5 because Isaac Coy put an edit together from footy he got when he was there.  I finally got a capcam and put this together with clips from my camera. Companies represented include Tilt, Sky High, and Lucky. Enjoy.

Justin Robertson Joins The Scooter Zone Family

Justin Robertson has come a long way from the rider we first saw a few years ago.
Basically, one day Justin just decided he was going to turn into a street destroyer, so he did. Justin has always struggled when it came down to finding sponsors that he could fit in with. MGP didn't work out, and that left Justin sponsorless. When he reached out to Scooter Zone, it was basically a done deal. Someone with as much talent as Justin, and someone who continues to progress like he does, is valuable to any company.

Long Beach Comp Updated Flyer

New flier for long beach comp. On November 5th my team GoRide scooters and [WTF?Scooters] will be hosting a competition at long beach, long island,sponsored by elyts and 841. Everyone attending will meet up at long beach train station at
11:30am. From there we will ride to long beach skate park were the comp will begin. There will be three divisions beginner, intermediate and advanced. Part one will give each division 15 minutes to jam at long beach skatepark and the judges will pick the top riders from each division. after round one there will be a short intermission. After we will meet up again and ride to the lido 9 stair were we will have a jam where everyone gives in five bucks to enter and whoever lands the best trick wins all the money. Next we will ride to Nickerson skatepark and continue the competition with round 2. This round will also be timed group runs, the judges will narrow it down to the final 5 in each division. The final round will be 3 min individual runs and will determine the winners. Then we will hand the awards out to the prize winners of each division and end the competition. Hopefully you and your teams will come support this promising event, looking forward to seeing you there.
