Super Sixty AM

Jake Charters recently hit up Truckstop skatepark in Bend, OR. Jake is an Am rider sponsored by Lucky Scooter Parts. Super Sixties truely test a riders endurance and stamina and for an Am rider to take on the challenge Jake did a great job! Jake said a few words upon submission of his super sixty: "I had lots of fun and love Lucky for their support and I hope you like!"

Thanks for your submission Jake!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TEE!

For everyone that doesn't know, Tee is the owner of Spoild Bratt Sk8shop in New Jersey, and today is her birthday! Tee is one of the most dedicated and enthusiastic people supporting our sport today. She is all about progression of the sport, and supporting all the riders she meets. I really feel like we need more people like Tee in the sport and industry today.

So from Inside-Scooters to Tee, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

P.S. Very soon we will have Inside-Scooters stickers made by the hundreds, all thanks to Tee, and Spoild Bratt. Be sure to stay on the look out for those, and expect to see a lot more about Spoild Bratt on Inside-Scooters.

Scooter Zone HIC Viper Bars + Website Video

It comes as no surprise when I say that the Viper Bars from Scooter Zone have always been some of the most popular in the sport. So when HIC came around Scooter Zone knew they had to take their most popular bar, and make it compatible, so they did just that. The HIC Vipers take the same design of regular Viper bars, and makes them compatible for HIC compression. Check out the ad below for more information.

The Zone also recently uploaded a new video to replace the Titetoyz.com video that Twan had made.  It features all the team riders, including the Australian team...SUPER crazy video, in both park and street.  Donatelli is ridiculous...2:58 is something thats rare to see even in park.  Raymond kills it, Darger has good clips, Dan Holm has a monster 270...Bangers all around.

CooterCon 11 Results...And a Word About Stealing.

Cooter Con 11 started yesterday with the Am Competition. The winners are stated below, and as soon as the Pro Results come in, they will be posted here! So keep checking back to find out of Tyler Bonner can add yet ANOTHER Cooter Con title to his huge bag of "First Place" finishes.

AM Results

1st- Ty Alexander
2nd- Kody Geiger
3rd- Bailey Maxcey

PRO RESULTS

1st- Dakota Schuetz
2nd- Cameron Ward
3rd- Raymond Warner

Best Trick

Stan Smirnoff- Fastplant 360 over the big box

Seems like the Pro division was a tough one. Raymond Warner has always, and will always be a top contender when it comes to any competition he is riding in. Cameron Ward, after being criticized by people for what division he has rode in, proves that he can hang in the Pro division with no problem. And Dakota who has been a force to be reckoned with ever since the Razor Exposed Tour last year, comes out on top.

Want to see footage? Then keep checking Inside-Scooters.

I also want to add, late today after the competition was over, Blunt TM Ryan Upchurch had his $1400 laptop stolen...sadly this is not the first time something has been stolen at a Cootercon.  From what I hear the person who took it has been identified but has not returned the laptop.  Ryan had 2 years worth of footage for the ECX dvd "Butter" on it, which obviously is irreplaceable.  I hope the person who stole it can own up for his actions and return it.  Ryan's laptop wasn't the only thing stolen this weekend.  On Saturday Zero Gravity's camera was stolen, which had a week's worth of clips from the team.  Definitely doesn't reflect on the NW well.

Nolan Sorensen Web Edit 2

Really no words for this. Just great riding from Nolan. When you start off your Web Edit, with something better than another rider has used for his ender in one of the most popular DVDs in the sport(Still love you BK), you're a beast. Such a clean style, and I think we've only just begun to see the potential of Nolan. Check the video out below.

Blunt: The Melbourne Experience

Last week the guys from Blunt all met up together in Melbourne to film for the Totally Wild TV show.  Its cool to see the whole team together in one video.  They hit up parks during the daytime and got some street clips later at night.  That last trick is just silly, Max is a straight up freak...speaking of which, check out the video below.  If that doesn't show you the lengths to which his head is twisted, I don't know what does.

Welcome to ELYTS Podcast + First Official ELYTS Podcast

Let me start off first by sharing my thoughts about ELYTS. To be honest, I don't think anyone understands the magnitude of what ELYTS is all about. The people involved at ELYTS, and mainly Zig Short himself are some of the most driven individuals I've ever known. This isn't just "talk", it's the exact opposite, it's all action. There is very little discussion or rumors involved when it comes to ELYTS, and odds are if you heard about it, it's already happened.

I feel like this is one of the main things are sport is missing. We're a real sport right? We take our sport seriously, correct? So why do we have to go to another sport to get something as important as shoes? ELYTS is what a lot of people think are going to be the answer and solution to that. With people like Zig running it, I see nothing but great things in the near future.

Check out the below video where Zig gives you guys a little more information on ELYTS, and what they'll be up to in the next couple of monhts.

Below is the first of a never ending series of Podcasts that will feature ELYTS Pro riders and friends. In this video you'll see ELYTS riders Zig Short, and Jon Reyes + So Cal local, Vincent Kudrna. It was filmed and edited by one of the most talented filmers and editors I know, Phillip Long. Check it out.

Ryan Williams Giganta Ramp Practice

MGP's Ryan Williams honestly makes it looks easy, but trust me...you'd never see me or 70% of the riders that talk about how "they would totallyyy do the mega ramp" up there shredding it like it was a kicker the way Ryan does. The ScooterHut+Nitro Circus tour this year is one that I think really helped bring more attention to our sport. A huge part of that is due to the riders from MGP and Blunt taking part in it alongside Scootering legend, Andrew Broussard. Check out Ryan's practice footage below

Scooter Zone How To: Hand Plant Spines with Danny Rambert

So Cal OG Rider, Danny Rambert was recently added to the Scooter Zone Team, and for good reason. He is one of the most underrated peg riders, and overall riders in the sport. Though it isn't his peg riding he will be showing off today. It's his handplants. They are still a pretty low key trick in the sport, but this "How To" video might help to change that. Check it out below.

ShopECX Update

ShopECX.com is the Largest Online Scooter store in the US! They have over 400 different scooter parts and complete scooters in stock at all times! ECX has been in the freestyle scooter business since 2001. Since then, they have seen the sport evolve in ways they never dreamed possible. ECX offers more products than any other scooter store and gets new inventory in every week. They pick the best brands and have their team riders test all new products to make sure they stand up to the rigors of freestyle riding.

They inspect every package before it ships to make sure there are no problems or defects, but if you do happen to have an issue, ECX offers a no hassle return policy and a 30 day de-hub guarantee on all wheels! ECX also ships most orders within 24 hours and uses USPS Priority Mail or Fed Ex Ground. Before you buy your scooter parts from little jimmy's garage internet store just to save a dollar or two,
consider ShopECX.com. Always a better selection, un-matched customer service and 10 years of experience. If that wasn't enough for you, ECX is building the World's First freestyle scooter store on wheels!

Look for ECX's mobile show trailer touring up and down the East Coast this year bringing the store to your door. The show trailer will stock many of the most popular items from ECX's web store and be equipped to do complete custom builds, headset and bearing installations and repairs on the spot. The trailer will also carry Team ECX's new mobile scooter park from Freshpark Portable Ramps. Team ECX will be traveling with the trailer this summer hosting demos at spots up and down the East Coast. ECX is leading the Freestyle Scooter Revolution in 2011, don't miss it!

Kody Geiger "Flipping to Grass"

Normally I wouldn't post up a video that was posted to my wall on Facebook but I did take a liking to this video. While the video quality isn't the best some of the riding is pretty awesome. I've been following Kody's riding for a while and am very harsh with him when it comes to filming/editing and so on, in this video he's shown vast improvement not only with his filming and editing skills but on his scooter as well. So sit back and enjoy the video!

Joe Armstrong/Tommy Cottrell Throwaway

Madd's Joe Armstrong and his friend Tommy Cottrell are featured in this video, in which they ride a bunch of different parks on the east coast.  We all knew that Joe could shred, but I don't think I've seen footage of Tommy before.  He shreds for sure too.  Great stuff from these guys.

Scott Higgs Recent clips

Scott is another upcoming (and I believe unsponsored) UK rider.  Lots of pretty crazy tricks, a little sketch but I'm sure he'll get cleaner as time goes on.  He's kinda like the Brendon Smith of the UK.  Hopefully we can see progression in Scott just like we have in Brendon.
