I got a text from my good friend, and Lucky Scooter Parts Team Manager, James Gee...to check out Blake's new web edit...which was released less than an hour ago. This edit is seriously pure beauty. MGP Usa Ride Weekend

Raymond Warner and Anthony "Twan" Bustos of MGP Usa, are going to be hitting up some parks this weekend to hype up some of the new MaddGear products that will be hitting the US in November. These are the two of the best riders in California, and if you can make it out to any of the skateparks they will be riding at...I suggest you get out there. Watch them ride, and check out some of the new MaddGear products, and possibly get your hands on some free stuff. The following statement was released on the Madd website earlier today.

"Hey USA GUESS WHAT?!?!?!?!?! Raymond Warner and Anthony "Twan" Bustos from MGP USA are going out this weekend to hype up MADD Gear products as they hit stores Mid November. An Inside-Look In The Zone

ScooterZone recently joined Inside-Scooters and we will be posting ALL updates regarding the ScooterZone Team, Parts, Events, and more.

I recently moved to Riverside,CA which is where the original ScooterZone is located...and I had a chance to stop by and get an inside look at how things go down at SZ. I also took plenty of pictures for you guys to check out.

The first thing I noticed when I walked into ScooterZone....it was packed. I did NOT expect this many people to be there. There were tons of kids with their parents, and all of them were spending quite a bit of money to get their hands on these custom made scooters made by the SZ staff.

It was pretty shocking to see first hand how much the sport is growing, seeing these young kids and their parents being interested in the sport, and investing into it just to ensure that their kid has a good scooter to ride was really cool to see. I even got behind the counter for a bit and helped out haha.

After that I headed to the back room, where the SZ staff really gets to work. It's back here where these guys have probably put together over 1,000 scooters. I mean from part to part...the efficiency they all have while doing this was amazing. They pay attention to every detail when putting a customers scooter together.

As I was sitting in the back I remembered that SZ had their own ramp set up in the back. So I thought I'd go check it out. It turns out that they needed most of the ramps to be resurfaced, but that didn't stop a couple of younger dudes from seshing it up. The set up looks pretty legit, and I know some of the SZ staff can really tear it up back there.

Overall, my experience at Scooter Zone was great...these guys are complete professionals at what they do. If you are anywhere in the Southern California area, and are in need of any kind of maintenance, are looking for a new set up, or just want to ask the guys a question...get to Scooter Zone. You won't be dissapointed.

Goran Karacic Interview.

Goran Karacic is probably not a name most people know. Living in the European country of

Croatia, he doesn't live near too many other riders, and so his unique style of riding is relatively unheard of. He does have a presence on the forums, and occasionally will post some pictures, but thats about it. All of that is about to change, with this interview. Goran prefers to ride vert over street and park. When he contacted me with some pictures to try to give vert riding more exposure, I jumped at the chance for an interview. Goran has a website that you can visit for more pictures, and info on Goran himself.

Goran Karacic, 20 years old from Zagreb, Croatia

When, and why did you start riding?

Back in 2001 I used to skate, got a scooter as a present, and messed around with it. Continued skating but eventually I got back to scootering in late 2004. But it was a hard time till 2006, getting a decent scooter here was impossible. Once I had a decent scooter, I was hooked, and even today, it's the same awesome chill feeling everytime I go out and ride.

What was your local scene like back then?

Underdeveloped, like every other non-football sport. It was just sad. Even skating/BMX riding was underdeveloped.

What is the scene like now?

It's getting better and better. These days, I'm not the only scoter rider at my local park anymore, and I get mails from people all over Croatia asking which parts to get, and where to get them. So yeah, it's getting bigger and bigger, feels good.

What made you start to ride vert?

I used to ride miniramp 24/7, but I was never really into tech stuff. I always did simple tricks, but high in the air... once the miniramp got too small for me, the next higher thing was the local vert ramp.

What do you like about vert more than other disciplines?

I love how it impresses the hoes at my the skate park, they scream when I ride...haha :D But really, I just love the awesome feeling of being free while flying around. I ride street and park from time to time, but vert is such a different thing, once you get to air out 5-6 feet and do tricks on that height it just feels too good.


You have 26 wide bars. Why such the extreme length?

Speed wobbles. Once I started getting above the coping, speed wobbles were an issue for me. But these days, it's just a part of my style, I can't imagine going back to smaller bars, 26 is just too comfortable. And yeah, I haven't lost one single trick, but my style improved so much.

What are the other specs on your current scooter?

I ride a Micro XT deck with the reinforced Micro XT zero offset fork. Bars are homemade mild steel tube + seatpost with the FireEye CaliBar on top of it all. Front wheel is a green machine, and the back wheel is an old micro metal core. The whole scoot is a bit less than 14 pounds.

Where all have you traveled to ride your scooter?

I've been all around Croatia, few times in Austria... visited some relatives in Germany and shredded their local park too. Oh and Switzerland, probably the best trip ever. Riding with soo many people at Freestyle.CH was just amazing. All in all, I just tripped a bit around Europe.

Who are some of your favorite riders?

BenJ is awesome, not just a good rider, but an awesome person too. Ruben Ahmad is a great guy too, can't wait to ride sometimes again with him. Martin Nogol, Johan Walzer, Javi Trepat, both Cajas guys and many more. All great riders with great personalities. Video wise, I love watching Dan Holms videos, he's just amazing. I'll stop here, there are soo many more great riders, but it'll just go on and on and I'll never stop :D

Who are some people you'd like to ride with?

Like I said, Ruben Ahmad, that guy is just too chill, but so are all the others I met in Switzerland too. But if I could pick a location and rider, it would be a vert session with Martin Nogol and Dan Holm.


If you could be sponsored by any company, who would you choose?

I don't really know, I love Micro for having such a heavy deck that fits my needs, I like how the Eagle team looks more like a family than a team. TSI has amazing stuff in their repository, MADD is getting big these days too, Phoenix Scooters are developing a vert deck. No need to mention Lucky really, the are pulling off great stuff too. Such a hard pick, every company has something I like about them, but for now, I got the most support from Micro, and I'd just love if I could become a part of their team too. But seriously, I wouldn't mind any company that would support and appreciate a vert rider in their arsenal.

Last words?

Hope the interview and the pictures motivate more people into riding vert. Be prepared for more stuff, this is just the beginning :)

Loved it. The intro got me so stoked haha. Jake mobs sooo fast, Mike too. I could watch footy from them two all day.

Northwest Scoot Championships

On August 14th there's going to be a competition in Oregon. Looks pretty legit so far, and looks like there will be some cash prizes. If you are in the area, or can make it out for this, I would highly recommend going. Check out the flyer below.

Razor Exposed Tour Information

I got word a little earlier that the Coordinators behind the Razor Exposed Tour are looking for people to help promote the competition series. Should you be chosen you will most likely be getting a package of promotional items, flyers, stickers, etc. So if you are interested read the statement released below, and contact the email at the end.



We are looking for Scooter Ambassadors for the Razor Exposed Tour. What is an ambassador you may ask? This is an individual that is dedicated to the sport of scootering and is eager to get the word out about this competitions series. Dylan Scholes Edit

There really isn't much to say about this video, that won't be clearly evident once you watch it. Just some really sick riding by a really sick rider. Dylan is one of the riders in Aus that I feel gets overlooked sometimes. But if he keeps knocking out videos like this one, I don't think that will be a problem for too long. Great stuff. BJST is the product of a week long trip in Ohio with Brian Amato, Josh Young, Spencer Steed, and Tommy Daddono. Everyone has their own part and the video turned out super good. Josh's nose manual at the end of his part took a total of 216 tries...props to him, I wouldn't try anything that many times haha. The parks in this video are Brian and Spencers locals, they def put down some bangers. Tommy does too many tucks, sorry bro =] Haha nahh he has one of the nicest styles out there.

I know a lot of people have been wondering where I've been. Truth is I've just been busy with work and I've recently moved to Riverside,CA to start my new job as the DSA Sales and Marketing Manager. Right now I don't HAVE internet connection, and I'm using some ridiculous free WiFi, that cuts out every 10 minutes. On either August 2nd or August 3rd, I will be getting internet hooked up in my new place, and will be back posting on Inside-Scooters. I got some good stuff that I have in mind to post for you guys.
