Crisp Scooters 2 For 1: Beau Neal and Aaron Anchie

It's always interesting to see the influence one's local has over their riding style. Beau Neal isn't someone I'm super familiar with, but it's cool to see how he uses the technical elements of Glasgow in a similar way JonDev did before he moved. Yet its clear he's doing it his own way, with the lack of pegs and slightly less trick heavy combos. Wallie/board pop bar on the handrail into the bank was crazy, I can't make sense of that one.




I've only ever heard nice things about Aaron. He seems to be a hard working dude who loves scootering, and that comes across in his riding. He's currently AM for Crisp and slowly working his way up the ranks. I did think some of the filming/editing was a little suspect, but damn that was a high half cab. Fullwhip manual was unexpected too!

The Real Joe Armstrong

Crisp rider Joe Armstrong is currently ranked 3rd in the world. I watched him perform at the last World Championships, and he shut it down hard. He does the same thing in his latest edit. As always mixing it up with huge bangers, tech clips, and some street as well. 360 to nose manual to 360 looked really good.

Jon deVrind Welcome to Scooter Farm

The Farm Team just got a bit bigger with the addition of Jon deVrind. You know what to expect from Jon, lots of tech, and loads of steez. I was feeling all the manual lines, but that last clip still caught me off guard. So good. And that longer Crisp deck is looking pretty good.

Jon deVrind "Don't Sweat the Technique"

I don't think it's possible to not enjoy a Jon D video. The dude rides so smooth it's almost annoying. At first I wasn't sure about his move to Crisp, but his riding is continuing to improve, so I guess it's proving to be a good fit. Jon has one of the best tech/tictac styles in the game, that it's easy to forget that he is also the same rider that threw down probably the biggest 360 whip I've ever seen (Seattle Street Jam). Crispy Grits

No, it's not a breakfast dish from the early 1900s.  This is a video of Ryan Upchurch and Jon Devrind riding at Glasgow skatepark.  It's called that because Crisp and Grit are the teams they are on.  Jake Hershey, TM for those brands, filmed it and Ryan edited it together.  Nice, chill riding from these guys.

Jake Hershey: I Do What I Can

You might not think that Jake can shred, mainly because half the time you see him, he has a mic in his hands, and is announcing another competition. But I remember seeing clips of Jake a year or so ago, and was pretty shocked that he can throw down like he does. He has some serious flow going on when he hits a park, and those Megaramp clips, Mmmm. Overall, one of the nicest, most genuine dudes in the sport today. Stoked to see him drop a full edit.

Jon Devrind - "No Label"

JonDev has gotten really good lately.  He rides for Crisp and shreds it.  He's got a good tech game but can hit some bigger stuff as well.

Crisp Woodward East Promo 2014

Crisp sure has turned it around haven't they? At one time they were overlooked by most riders, but it's hard to ignore a company that has a Team that is this talented. This video starts off with Jake Hershey informing everyone about Woodward East now allowing scooter riders full time, which we can all thank Kimberly Funk for. It's amazing that Woodward acknowledges scooters to this extent now.

After that, it gets straight into the riding, and there's a lot of it. Devin Pelphrey, Jon Devrind, Lewis Williams, and Josh Toy. I sat there watching Jon Dev kill it, and was like, "Ooh so this is what happens when you take Jon Dev and stick him at Woodward" Dude killed it so hard. And I think I can honestly sit and watch Lewis all day. Devin went hard as always, and I think it will take me some time getting used to Josh on Crisp, but he was hanging with the dudes no problem. Good promo for sure.

Jon Devrind Scooter Check + Clips

Jon Devrind shocked a lot of people earlier this year when he made the switch from riding for Phoenix, to riding for Crisp. Crisp might not have much of a following here in the US yet, but they are trying to change that, and one of the things they're doing first is releasing a new line of products. Crisp scooters has been in the states now for a little over 6 months with a soft launch through the Grit scooters webshop. We have now fully launched and are ready to take the US by storm! We now have a full line of products including, Completes, Bars, Forks, Wheels, Clamps, Scs, Pegs, and Brakes.

With the 2013 range of completes we bring you Aluminum forks, Bars that are taller and more comfortable to ride than the previous generation of Crisp products. We got rid of the ICS compression and upgraded to the HIC and SCS compressions depending on the model of scooter you choose. One of our favorite products for the new line are the new Contour cut wheels. These are available in both 100 and 110mm and 6 color combinations. They feature a more Convex shape with extra urethane for an extended wear period.
