Blunt Decks at DSA

So you may know Blunt decks have been in the US for a while now, thanks to Dominator Scooter Accessories, who is the American distributor for all Blunt products.  They put together a couple ads for the Ace of Spades deck, check em out.  I've been running a Blunt since December now and I gotta say they're definitely a super solid deck.  4.3 wide is a really a nice balance between skinny, fast whipping decks and wider, more stable decks.  The bottom of the deck is rounded but not as much as Phoenix decks, which is nice for grinds.  In fact grinding and tech on this deck is actually really fun...the 82.5 degree HTA makes nose manuals super easy, and pegs fit great on the back.  The AOS deck really can appeal to almost every kind of rider.  If you're in need of a new deck, I'd definitely suggest giving the Ace of Spades a look.

Check it. Theres a whole lot of talking in French that I don't understand, but maybe you will. Having a "folding mech" on an aftermarket deck kinda undermines everything the industry has built today, but it could be good. After all, Razor Pros were good (before Razor decided to cheap out on em). The bars look pretty beefy (butted crossbar?) and so does the stem, but overall i think it looks really solid.

Phoenix Deck Update

The Phoenix deck was featured at this past weekend's Cootercon Raise the Gnar tour stop. Inward-Scooters rider Josh Kish rode the deck during the competition, and placed 4th. Production will be starting this week, and 150 units will be available for sale. More info soon to come.

Inward Scooters introduces Phoenix one piece deck!

Phoenix Pro Scooters of Portland OR has developed a top of the line one piece deck that will rival any existing deck on the market in terms of appearance, weight and strength.

The Phoenix deck is 4.5 inches wide and is extruded from 6061 T6 aluminum and heat-treated. Phoenix brings over 20 years of Bicycle Industry experience to the design and engineering of their new deck. The deck was designed using state-of-the-art computer engineering software and has been stress tested and can stand up to 3000 pounds of force.

This deck weighs just 3 pounds, and has a head tube angle of 82.5 degrees, just slightly steeper than the Razor Pro Model making the deck easy to get used to.

A unique bracket to mount the brake eliminates the need to drill a weakening cross-hole through the deck.

The deck comes with a 90 day manufacturers warranty and will be sold exclusively by Inward Scooters. The Phoenix deck can be seen at the upcoming Cooter Con competition in Seattle. The deck will be available for sale in the second half of November 2009.

Lucky Deck Pricing

They're saying Lucky Decks are going to cost 130 bucks, which is 30 dollars cheaper than TSI decks. Sounds like a deal to me. Couple new pics of it too, check em.
