The Vault Pro Scooters: The Importance of Pads + How to Wallride with Tyler Wheeland

TWhee works at The Vault, which is a super legit shop killing it down in the So Cal area. They recently started putting videos out of tutorials, reviews, and other good stuff. In the videos below Tyler Wheeland breaks down why you kiddos need to start padding up. Following that video he gives you a full breakdown on Wallrides. Fitting given that Tyler Wheeland spends about as much time riding walls as he does flat ground.

  2. It makes sense to me that people would promote helmets. But in my opinion that should still be personal choice. Regardless, I don't see the big deal about pads. If you're that afraid of getting a scrape you should not be riding. Because no matter what, you will get scraped. And it's useful to learn how to tumble because if one day you don't wear pads you will ditch to your knees or elbows and get a serious road rash or break a bone. People need to accept the fact that at some point you will most likely get hurt, and there is nothing you can do to prevent every single injury. I don't know really this is just how I feel.

  3. HA^^^
Ridiculous coming from T-Whee. I'd get Dakota arguing for the use of elbow and knee pads, but since he wears neither it's kinda hypocritical.

  4. I guess it's too hard for some people to understand that the Pads video is for KIDS.. Tyler Wheeland is not a kid. Therefore he can choose to not wear pads every time he rides. But I do think younger kids should wear pads. To have the mindset that pads are stupid and pointless is so ridiculous it's not even worth arguing with the idiot who feels that way.

  6. I loved the video for a whole lot of reasons. For the beginner it is great information, for those that have been around scootering pads are a personal choice like smoking or drinking. It cracked me up.. I loved the knee pad demo. We all know you aint seeing him in those pads ever again but he really put himself out there by doing this. It is pretty apparent he is comfortable with who he is and I respect that. It just came across like Stan doing a don't drink and smoke video.
