Micro Extreme Welcomes Zac Stewart

Micro is continuing to build up it's Team of top riders around the world, and they recently put Zac Stewart on their Aus Team. Zac is a park rider, and he makes some pretty ridiculous tricks look easy. Heel to double rewind over that quarter to quarter gap was pretty tight. He will be going on an MX Aus Tour coming up as well. Check out his Welcome edit below.

  1. Feel like I've watched this video 113 times already...same Aussie park with the same tricks with the same style. It's hard to be original, but it's even harder to copy something that many times. It's not Zack's problem, he's just 1 of 113. Would have been better if those shorts were a tad shorter so I could see your sack.

  2. I hear you Jackson. I definitely hear you.

It is getting really tiring seeing these kinds of videos, and I feel like not many people are noticing it the way you do.

But in my opinion the same can be said about a lot of "Street" videos that come out now. Rider does flat line, almost always has a heelwhip in it, probably soon changing to double heels. From there it's full of front board to whips, if there's a manual line, it's usually again heelwhip out to try and be "unique". And how many times do we need to see back feeble to 360 downside whip out..

So park videos are definitely ten times more repetitive than street videos, and Aus park videos are repetitive in a whole different way. But I do see it happening with street videos as well.

  3. Very true Steven. I prefer to watch more park than street videos, but I've noticed street videos are picking up a trend, definitely with the whole heelwhip thing. Everyone is switching out tailwhips for heelwhips in all their tricks to make them original again. I can't really hate on 'em though since I imagine it's more difficult to learn a new set of tricks on street when you're not riding huge box jumps and launching 10 feet in the air all the time. Street riders advance their skills mostly by riding bigger spots and going faster at them.

Repetitive tricks don't bother me. Skateboarders and BMXers have been doing the same tricks for years (for the most part), just doing crazier combos now. But, seeing the same tricks at the same spot with the same style is what's killin me.

Again, I don't wanna hate on Zac. The dude's got skill for sure. I'm more disappointed with whoever is the team manager for Micro. Aim to be extraordinary, not generic.
