So lately I've noticed a lot of you guys got a problem with the stuff posted on Inside-Scooters. You got a problem with it? Make your own blog. Don't come to ISB. Don't look at that post. But if you think leaving comments talking trash is going to phase me, or the companies in that post, to the point where I stop posting videos from the Advertising companies that support Inside-Scooters, sorry but you're sadly mistaken. No offense, but I highly doubt myself, or the companies targeted care about a few angry kids.
Most of you have a serious problem understanding what Inside-Scooters is. We are not Jordan Jasa and Steven Tongson posting whatever we want on our Blog. That is not Inside-Scooters. That is how IS started, but not what it has turned into. The minute Inside-Scooters started getting companies that wanted to advertise on ISB by paying us, we had to understand what that means. Something most of you don't.
Do you guys think that I post things on Inside-Scooters hoping that Dylan Kasson or Alex Steadman like it? Or so Josh Young and HepGreg can say that they think its cool? Cause if you do, you got it twisted. I don't post anything with the intent on pleasing any one person or group of people. Companies contact me on a daily basis with updates they want posted on ISB, and they paid for it. So as long as that content is not directly offending anyone, it will get posted onto ISB. I am not biased towards certain companies or content that gets posted. If you guys have enough of a problem with that to feel the need to post pointless comments. Sick.
Jordan has the luxury of posting whatever he wants, having little to do with any of the companies that I am in contact with everyday, making sure they continue to advertise with ISB. And I'm fine with that. Cause I enjoy the work I do on ISB, and that's my job. And I enjoy the posts that Jordan does when he makes them as well.
Just posting this basically letting you guys know that ISB is not just about us posting whatever we want. I have a job to do with Inside-Scooters, and I do it. The fact that some of you have a problem with it, really doesn't mean much in the long run. ISB does not cater to ANY certain age group of riders, any crews, any companies, or anything like that. We do what we have to do, to ensure that within the community, and the industry..we remain the number 1 website for news, updates, videos, reviews, and more.

ReplyDeleteAs a company owner myself, I know that the only reason we are advertising here on Inside is because of the way the work is handled here. The amount of companies working with IS has to be an indicator of that. Glad that Steven actually posted this.

ReplyDeleteI got this site bookmarked on my phone and check it compulsively during the day. While I don't really like the WAR scooters or the English guy in the dress videos, they are advertisements. Voicing some concern about the ads is ok, it is market critisim, calling out IS over it is just immature.

ReplyDeleteJordan's good at voicing his own opinion, but his writing style is so bad and he doesn't make you want to read the articles he writes (which aren't really 'articles', but rather short blog posts). He's either softly patronizing kids who aren't 'OG's or he's making a neutral statement about a video, none of which is interesting to read.
When I come onto ISB, I wanna leave with more information than I arrived with. I honestly believe that anyone could do what Jordan does. Copy and pasting embeds accompanied by a 2 sentence comment...

How do you know ISB is number one? Most of the videos you post receive less than 10 comments. Videos on Scooter Resource Forum get way more responses on average. Do you receive ratings reports from Nielsen or something?
Your “News” isn’t really valid news if people are paying you to “report” in their favor. The same goes for your reviews. It’s no wonder companies will give you money to post their shit. You’re always gonna have a positive response, which makes this whole site an extension of scooter companies, NOT SCOOTER RIDERS.
The fact that you post an “article” telling people to Come At You comes off as childish. Not to say that my rant is professional or adult-like but, then again, I’m not running The Number One Website. Writing something like this really knocks off your validity as a website...Being that you are suppose to be "the one stop spot" for all of the latest scooter news, it should be just that. ReplyDeleteI guess I'm a little late on this. but to put it plainly i try to keep up on whats going on in our sport and this is by far the fastest, easiest, BEST way to do that. I can't speak for Jordan because I've never talked to him but I must say that Steven Tongson is one of the best examples in our sport. I really don't think anybody on this site (myself included even though I've been around a WHILE) has had more involvement with promoting us in a positive way.
