Inside Scooters. It's a name the sport has come to know and love. From videos, to interviews, to tutorials, Inside truly gives the riders an Inside look into the sport. When I first made the Blog back in December 2009, I wasn't even sure that it was a good idea. Would anybody bother reading it? What if kids hate on it? What would it turn into? I finally got motivated to start posting and showing the site to the community a month later. It quickly caught a dedicated audience, and I asked Steven Tongson, Inward Team Manager at the time, to help write. Steven's reputation and talent made really helped bring in more readers, and a little later on, advertisers. I admit I would be lost in that department without Steven, and I'd really like to thank him for all the countless emails hes sent to various companies, as well as for all the great articles he posts.
At the time, when we first started having advertisers, I thought about how amazing it would be to eventually have IS to the point where it would be the place where every top company came to show their stuff to the world. About how I could really make a name out of the IS label, have it profitable and expandable. I didn't really expect it to overtake the Scooter Resource, a place where most kids went to find videos and other content online...but, amazingly, many kids tell me IS is their #1 favorite scooter website. Something that really is truly amazing to me, for I never expected it to get that big.
A couple months ago, I had the idea of a filming/photography forum. After collaborating with my good friend Chris Gascoigne, we officially launched the Inside View forum. It was a proud moment for me, as an Inside related forum was always something in the back of my mind, but I never had the expertise or resources to make one. But we succeeded with that, and soon after, identified a need for a larger, more general forum for the community. Brian Boston's "The Ridewire" forum had been having some technical difficulties, and was out for extended periods of time. As the Scooter Resource was the only alternative...well, lets just say some people would rather not go there. So, we contacted Brian, and hatched a little plan for a big feature to hit IS, probably the biggest since the inception of IS itself. Something I'm very excited for. And now, I'll hand the mic, I mean keyboard? to Mr. Steven T.
-Jordan Jasa
2011 marks a whole new year for Inside-Scooters. With this new year comes plenty of new stuff. We got new IS Staff members, and new IS websites like Inside-View, but the IS changes aren't stopping there.
I'm sure if you're here reading this, you obviously already know about Inside-Scooters. We are the leading, and original website dedicated to bringing the world the latest news, updates, videos, interviews, product reviews and more in the sport of Scootering. Since the start of Inside-Scooters, we have seen, and will continue to see, plenty of websites who try and imitate what we do at Inside-Scooters. Though none of them have ever had a following like we have here at Inside-Scooters. We have grown and expanded without the use of unethical strategies and promotions, and will never stoop to that level. We appreciate, and are dedicated 110% to the readers and fans of our website, and we will continue to provide them with all the news and updates you've come to expect from Inside-Scooters.
That being said, let's take a look at some of the new websites from Inside-Scooters.
Inside-View
The Inside-View was started by Jordan Jasa and recently added Inside-Scooters staff member, Chris Gascoigne. It's purpose is quite simple, it is a one stop website for aspiring filmers and editors to get all the help and information they need to help them progress in each field. Inside-View admins and moderators encourage all users of the forum to ask as many questions as possible, so that they can eventually start producing top quality videos and pictures. Inside-View is truly an asset to the sport, whether you plan to give your opinion and input on issues, or just want to look around the forums for tips on filming and editing, ISV is the place to be.
Inside Scooters Forum
One thing people have been asking Jordan and I to do for years now is to make a Forum. So in order to do that, we had to find the one person who we knew could make such a forum, and we were confident in our choice, because he had already done it before. Brian Boston, the creator of the extremely popular forum “The Ride Wire,” as well as the man who ran the Scooter Resource for five years, has left that behind, and joined us at Inside-Scooters. He is now the owner and creator of Inside-Scooters Forum. This forum is aiming to be the number 1 Forum in our sport, and we encourage everyone who was a part of The Ride Wire, to join our new community here at Inside-Scooters Forum.
Inside Scooters Network
Last but not least...We understand that having THREE Inside-Scooters related websites, can be a bit tedious. So Chris Gascoigne created the Inside-ScootersNetwork. This is the Inside-Scooters Home site. From here you can access either, ISB, ISV, or ISF with one click. You can find updates on this website regarding each of the three IS websites as well. You can take this website, and place it on your desktop, and will now have easy access to any Inside-Scooters website you want to view.
Inside-Scooters is never, and will never just be a blog. I personally pick IS Staff members who share the same mindset as I do, and see Inside-Scooters not for what it is, but for what we can make it. We are dedicated to only two things at Inside-Scooters.
1. The sport of Scootering.
2. Our dedicated readers, and the companies partnered with Inside-Scooters.
We aren't going anywhere, and you guys can rest assure that we are not done expanding. Later in 2011, we plan to have a lot more for our readers beyond just material on our website. We will have shirts, and other apparel. More contests for our readers around the world featuring free products and cash prizes, and a lot more.
I also have to give a big shout out to some of the people who helped make IS what it is known as today. Aaron Bransdon for always being there to help out with updates, news, and videos from Australia. And Margaret Mulligan for designing the Inside-Scooters Logo and page layout that has become synonymous with the Inside-Scooters name. I am confident when I say that Inside-Scooters would not have been the same without the two of them.
Lastly, again to all of our dedicated readers and fans. From the readers who take the time to comment on each post. From “Hater” to “i luv IS”, to the sometimes annoying “Anonymous” posters...we appreciate that all of you come to Inside-Scooters. We promise to continue to provide the same high quality of material you've grown used to seeing on Inside-Scooters. Thanks Everyone!
