Bobby Pantano Bamboozle Part

The next part from the Bamboozle part is none other than Bobby Pantano's.  Bobby's riding is still progressing and you can definitely see the improvements.  I loved that gap to manual tap, and the halfcab nosebonk.  Super good stuff.

Hep Greg and Logan Fuller Plazapalooza Vol:1

Hep Greg and Logan Fuller shred up the NYC Skate Plaza in Volume 1 of what I hope to be the first of many installments of Plazapalooza. There are very few riders who look as natural on a scooter as Greg does. He makes a lot of what he does look very effortless, something only few riders can pull off. Logan keeps up with Greg during the whole video with various grind combos and other sold clips. Check it out below, and cross your fingers for a few more before this summer is up.

Nick Donatelli Scooter Check V2

Scooter Zone's Nick Donatelli breaks down his scooter for you for the second time, and follows it up by killing the street section at Hunt Park. I'm still waiting for the Zone dvd, and one of the sections I really want to see his Nick's. So let's hope we see that sooner rather than later.

Boxes Limited: Brandon Kilbury Ultra Pro Clips

Brandon rode an Ultra Pro for the longest time.  Turns out he doesn't want to use them for his Proto Armageddon part (wants all his clips to be on the Orion deck instead), so he released these as a little edit for Boxes.  He's also recovering from a broken collarbone, so get better soon mang.

Alpha Omega Europe Tour Part 1

                                               

AO stands for Alpha Omega, and they make one piece decks. The deck itself I don't think is out yet, but the promo for the product has already begun. Zig Short and Cory Vanlew recently took a trip to Europe to promote the new deck. This is the video from that trip. Sucks pretty bad that they lost all their stuff..I'd be pissed, but they looked to be all right haha. Check it out below.

Josh Toy Scooter Check

Josh Toy recently got another scooter check done. He breaks down his whole set up, and follows it up with some solid clips. Keep your eyes open for switch tricks. It is pretty nuts that you can't clearly tell his switch clips, that's how clean they are. For the record I believe he rides Regular, so all that goofy is switch. Check it out below.

HOOKS&EYES

This has somehow been up for two weeks yet I've never seen it posted anywhere.  Hooks&Eyes is what I believe a clothing company ran by Conor Davidson and Evan Larson, the two riders featured in this video.  Both these guys have awesome clips in this.  So good to see more Conor clips, even after he dropped his Bamboozle part (which can be seen farther below on IS).

Raptor Grips Review

In a sport where we are constantly going to another sport (Bmx) to get certain products, it is good to see that some companies are starting to attempt to change that, by creating these products themselves. Though, to be honest, most of the time, despite the fact that scooter companies make these parts, we find ourselves going back to the Bmx brands who have been making them longer. Well that might be changing here with Raptor.


Raptor is under the same parent company as Elyts, 841, and AO, which all makes different products. Raptor makes grips, and not just any grips. They are the first company that made grips specifically made for scooter riders. I recently had a chance to get my hands on these grips (no pun intended) and here are my initial thoughts, on Raptor Grips.

I spent about a week with each grip installed on my bars. The first I installed were the Scale Grips you see below. At the first feel of the grips you realize immediately how soft they are. You probably figure they are going to wear out really fast, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Because Raptor actually has 1.5mm more thickness than your average grip.

I slid them on without much issue, and they felt pretty good. Also, the bar ends are not your normal push in plugs that most riders use. These actually screw right in using an allen key, so that was pretty cool, and definitely kept them in nice and snug. After riding them for a week I got really into how thick they were, it really did help with shock absorption, which is something Raptor wanted to do. They did a feel a bit short to me though, but I do have pretty big hands. Also if your hands sweat, you won’t have too much of a problem, but you might slip a bit.


That following Monday, I put on the Claw Grips that you see below. You’ll first notice the design of the grips themselves. At first grab once they are on the bars, they might feel a bit strange. But keep riding for a while, and you’ll get used to them really quick, to the point where they actually feel really comfortable. They feel like they truly begin to contort to your hands. They also feel like they have a bit more grip than the Scale Grips.

After riding them for 3-4 days, I realized that I preferred these grips over the Scale. They feel thinner than the Scale grips, and for some riders that’s what they prefer. There was also how grippy they were, which felt perfect. Despite them feeling thinner, after the week was up there was little to no wear and tear on the grips. Keep in mind I do have pretty rough hands, and can eat through Animal Edwins with ease. So this was a welcome surprise.

Overall with Raptor grips, I was pleased. I would like to see a couple more colors though. As you can see from the picture, there is no White or Blue grip. I’d also like to see them make the grips a little bit longer. When you have a longer grip you can always cut it down to size. But having a shorter grip leaves riders that prefer a longer grip with only one option, and that is to go back to a Bmx brand. If you want to get yourself a pair of Raptor Grips, head over to your local scooter parts dealer or website and see if they got them for sale. If not, request them!

Mitch Baldry Nitro Circus Triple Backflip Attempt

I wouldn't usually post non-landed attempts at tricks, but this isn't your usual trick.  Mitch goes for the triple while on the Nitro Circus.  I have a feeling it won't be long before he stomps it.

Bamboozle Part: Conor Davidson

Today is June 2nd, and that means the release of the Bamboozle video.  Conor Davidson starts things off with his long-awaited section.  Conor truly has his own unique style of tech and creativity.  Probably the only rider out there who's doing nose manual hop nose manuals.  And that banger...damn.  I gotta say that he goes a little slow at times but other than that, really solid part for sure.  I can't wait for the next part to drop.

A Weekend With Cam Ward ft Devin Pelphrey and Shawn Hauser

Cameron recently spent the weekend with Devin, and this is the footage they were able to get. Cam has been a top  5 finisher in competitions since he started riding. Despite being one of the youngest riders competing in the Pro division, he still manages to hang with the worlds best. A lot of that is due to how consistent Cam is. I've rode with him before, and it really is rare to see him not land a trick, and when he does land them, you know they're going to be clean. Check out his latest edit below.

Hunter Bechtle - I Ride Street

Uhh.. Well Hunter kills it in this video. Rails, sets, and gaps for days. Sacrifice has really provided us with a new version of Hunter that we've never seen before. You can tell he rides harder and pushes himself a lot more than before. Some of the clips in here are pretty intense, back lip to heelwhips, super long rails, death drop heelwhip, and a ridiculous double whip at the end. All proving the strength of the Sacrifice Deck. Freestyle Depot- Introducing Stefan Hefner

Stefan is the newest rider on FD's team, and not without good reason.  His Lucky Opus section was one of the best parts of the year, and this footage is pretty sick too.   I filmed that last trick, stoked on that haha.
