Flavio Pesenti Reaper Bar Promo

Flavio has some sig bars out now for Blunt.  This promo he made for tem wa bangin.  Those frontside hurricane combos were insane.  He seems to be able to do any trick he wants on a rail.

  1. It was pretty gnarly. But I don't think I can consider those Front hurricanes. He's locking both wheels into the rail, that's not a hurricane as far as I'm concerned. Just my opinion of that though. Still a really solid video either way.

    1. I remember back in the day bikers used to call it either a crook grind or a luc-e grind. But times have changed, haha. I look at a hurricane as a torqued boardslide/lipslide. Only the back wheel should touch. But it's just my opinion. I feel it's easier to lock in if you basically do a 180 and lock into the wheels, instead of getting your lean on, keeping your body pointing as far forward as possible, but the scooter twisting you up.

    2. Watch how he jumps in and locks into the rail combos in the warehouse, then watch the front hurricane 180 bar out on the street rail. Then watch the front and back hurricane 180 bri out. Notice how he's kind of leaning, front wheel not locked into the rail, where the warehouse clips he does a full 180 and locks front wheel in every time. It's easier to do a hurricane if you do it that way, but I don't feel like it's a real hurricane. Even on a skateboard, it's the back trick and deck on the rail, other truck isn't touching the rail, it's all by itself. Nothing against Flavio. He murders it and the video was still gnarly as hell. That's just my stance on hurricanes.

    4. Hm I always thought that was the point of a hurricane, to be as locked in as possible. I think it's way sicker when the deck is all the way locked in, instead of only partially so the rider has to drag heels to balance (talking bs here). Not only do those kinds look bad, they just seem like a tweaked boardslide.

I back Jordan on this one. Plus in BMX, we mention crooks when the back peg on the left side and the front peg on the right side of the bike are locked in, which isn't the case here for Flavio as he only ride two pegs. I guess you can call that either crook or hurricane grind if you ride four pegs but not when you only ride two pegs... It's like when people say Tyler Wheeland does double peg instead of 50-50, since he doesn't ride pegs it just sounds stupid.

Luc-E is another grind and does not look like that at all.

  5. suchhhh a sick video, i wanna go ride a rail so bad right now!

on a side note i have to agree with Josh; i always thought of a hurricane as a tweaked boardslide where you're turned anywhere past 90 degrees up to 179. play some dave mirra freestyle bmx; a luc-e grind is when it is legit locked in (you're balancing on different parts so it should be different imo :)

  6. josh i agree with you, that is definitely not a frontside hurricane and would fall more into the category of fakie feeble, i feel a frontside hurricane he should still be looking the way he grinds not riding backwards on the rail.

    1. k coop i thought you were intelligent. This IS a fs hurricane, its fact. Although I do agree with you that id rather him face the other direction . But the way he faces does not alter the trick.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAMY9Om6n9g ==> This is what a luc-e grind is, so it can't be done on a scooter

Iwish i could agree with you about the fackie feeble but i can't...it can't be a feeble unless the front wheel is rolling on the rail or surface of a ledge, same thing with facky feeble, which once again is not the case here guys^^

    1. yea dude feeble is when your front wheel is on top of a ledge or rail. this is a hurricane grind

  9. A hurricane is when you lock both wheels against the rail. Feeble is on ledges only. Period. Josh, you sesh tiny flat bars, go FS Hurricane a handrail and then say which is easier. Stop spreading your rubbish opinions for the impressionable youth to see, you're wrong. Go drag your heels somewhere else.

  11. Pegs or no pegs, doesn't make any difference. Even if it's on drop outs, it shouldn't change the fact that you're locking into a completely different trick. And if you need to lock into wheels and do a full 180 into the rail, then I guess you've all had hurricanes labeled wrong in any of your videos, none of you have locked in with both wheels/dropouts. The fact that he does a full 180 and goes grinding fakie, is the reason it is not a hurricane.

And good go, anonymous. Good to know you value your opinion enough to let us all in on who you are. And I was never hating on anyone either, so I don't understand the hostility. I'm creating a constructive debate to see what everyones opinions of the situation are. If you want to get mad, then just stay out of it, grow up, then come back.
