2012 X Games Scooter Demo/Interview
So as I'm sure you know, scooters were included as a demo in the X-Fest at the X-Games this year. Some guy from something called CraveOnline was there and talked with announcer extraordinaire Jake Hershey about the sport while guys like Kota, Corey Funk, and Cam Ward rode the course in the background. This is a pretty big step for getting into the Games as a real event, pretty cool.

Still make it seem like a kids toy, Razor should not have been the one to put it on. I still don't see them taking us serious yet.

ReplyDeletewhy didn't they get Stan Smirnoff and Tyler Bonner there? who wants to see Dakota and mongo pushing on XGames?
ReplyDeleteYou're an idiot.
DeleteNaturally I want Tyler there too, as I still think he is the best rider in our sport. But Dakota is one of the most, of not the most, consistent rider we have in the sport today. He can throw ridiculous tricks with ease, and I guarantee you he caught a lot of peoples attention during the demo.
tylers out for the rest of the year, he busted his knee
DeleteYeah I know. I meant to include that fact, but forgot.
DeleteI bet Dakota was the only one throwing down : (. It seems like every time scooters get close to mainstream at big events these pros slack like theyre holding back....
ReplyDeletedakota only pushed once... regularly. you haters gotta chill
ReplyDeleteit should of been a set of stairs and a rail and big ron. period.
ReplyDeleteBig Ron was there, and rode on the last day. EVERYONE threw down. You will all see when Acoustic releases the video. Dakota and Raymond made people go out and buy scooters the night they saw them ride. And everyone brought their own style. Razor is very focused on freestyle right now. And our audiences of over 100 people at a time definitely went home realizing this wasn't a kids toy. Big shout out to all the Cali homies that showed up as guest riders a threw down. EVERYONE threw down like I said. Even the least expecting ones. We showed style, tricks, amplitude, and even how scooters are dangerous when you fall. Our crowds were louder than all of the actual events at the X Games. This trip was unreal to me. We were on espn. We were on Japanese tv. And the video is going to blow everyones minds. That's all I have to say, which was a lot I know. See you guys at the next big comp.
