James Gee Lucky Opus Part

James certainly has ledge combos for days...there were some good tricks in there for sure (whip to bar river gap, last clip) but honestly I wasn't as stoked on James' part as I was Evan's.  Nonetheless, James is a really good rider and definitely threw down.

  1. Jordan I feel that you've become to much of a critic when it comes to posting videos.... Yes you give props but comparing it to other riders when each rider is unique is kind of wack.... thought both James and Evan threw down super hard in their own ways.... I feel that when you post your opinion or critique a video it has an effect on kids when they read it before they watch it..... Just sayin. And BTW dope riding James, killin ledges hard son!!! - Ostrom

  2. That may be true Eric...but look at it this way: The top riders in our sport throw down soooo hard. They set a standard super high, a bar that is what I can't help but to use to determine if a video impresses me or not. That reason is why I hardly ever post park videos, especially trick oriented ones...but regardless this is definitely a good video. Oh and thats why I put the video first, so kids can watch then read my opinion below.

  5. I'll be honest and say that both this video and Evan's video were awesome, but nothing groundbreaking (exclude evans banger)...James didn't you do a front feeble 720 out like 4 years ago? (i even think you were the first one at that concrete park?). Of course alot of good tricks and a fun watch, i guess i just expected more because of the "best street team" title you guys hold. Also the street was a bit predictable. I'm not trying to hate i guess i just had extremely high expectations for this video.

  6. Not going to lie, I'm sort of dissapointed with this edit, I usually love james gee videos but it was basicly the same riding from a year ago, Maybe even a degression, Wallride 5 should of been the banger IMO,

  7. Dude matt I'm extremely confused right now. How was that not ground breaking to you. Do you not understand the street factor. James did feeble 7 like 2 years ago at skatepark. This was on a one foot tall ledge street. He did an inward late whip street over that gnarly railhop. The spots we rode are like famous skate spots. How is Carlsbad or any of the other spots or tricks we did not groundbreaking. I know it's all opinion but dude the ignorance is so high right now.

  8. Ignorant means lack of knowledge...which i'm pretty sure i've been watching scooter videos for the past half of my life...so that's a big accusation and almost offending. There is no way i can do a feeble 720, or a fair amount of the tricks in there. What im saying is that 50 percent of this video was pretty predictable runs and ledge tricks. Some tricks (the fakie 3 over the gap, walltap 5, feeble 7, and a few others) were really good! But if you add up the video in its entirety, and how good a rider James is (im not trying to put anyone down), i was expecting banger after banger. Dont take any of this personally man you guys rock, its just my opinion on the video.

  9. yeah jordan i dont think anyone wants your "opinion". these solid riders remember you are not the best rider in the world so you are in no position to criticize every little thing that displeases you

  10. Maybe the fish eye affects the perception of how high those stairs gaps in his lines are.

  11. Jordan is just getting railed on these comments hahahahha

  12. Everyone has an opinion, stop arguing James even said opinions are good^^^

    Can't wait for Mike's part

  13. I thought it was just as gnarly as evans. Props, James.

  14. Jordans opinion is valued as far as I'm concerned and I would be disappointed if he stopped with his imput and just posted videos.

Now about this part: Super ill and great riding! Major props James, you're a street beast if there ever was one.

I think Matt has a point in being disappointed but I don't think it's totally because of the video part, it was the hype behind it! I mean, IS made a whole post about when exactly this was going to drop and that hardly ever happens, gets kids excited (which is great) but then we all expect to see somebody 360 whip off a roof. As an unexpected promo this would be mind blowing but because there was so much build up it would be near impossible to meet some peoples expectations.

I'm happy you're a good sport about it James, thats what it takes.

    Peace

  15. fullcab that flat gap....he made it look so easy, and front scoot the set right after was gnarly as hell. always loved your riding james.

  16. Not ignorance in the sense of scooter videos because you're one of the OGs in the sports and a highly respectable rider. However James did that feeble 7 at a park. Ignorance for thinking a park ledge even compares to a street ledge in a line. Half of those spots are so gnarly. Whip bar over the river gap?! Or feeble to ice then 270 back lip on a ledge in a line? I just don't know how you see that as a Predictable ledge trick. But you're right, it's all opinion. So we just have conflicting opinions. Oh and we didn't even start hyping till a week before. And it's something we've been working on for a year+ now so why would we not hype it? We put it on the web for everyone instead of making it a DVD. Therefore we are going to hype the web.

  17. You guys are all talking about tricks....Not only does he do some of the gnarliest tricks and not only does he do them in street, he does them with STYLE!

  19. If you don't like Jordans commentary then don't read his blog? I think we are all forgetting what blogging is about haha.

Anyways sick video, loved the tricks. My only problem with the video is how it was rendered in 16:9 If you noticed at :52 seconds the flash affects the whole screen. I think you rendered it 720p so it will be HD on youtube? Idk, just saying from a editors standpoint that others may see that as unprofessional.

Keep it up, its great where you guys take scooters.

  20. Honestly, the styles of riding between Jordan" Tech Freak"Jasa, Matt "Senior citizen" Ogle, Evan "The Freaking Tank" Yamada and James "Banger" Gee are so different that they are almost incomparable. No rider should try to emulate another, and I thought this part was sick. So many bangers, and I am not disappointed at all. Good job LSP. Matt Ogle and Jordan Jasa, stop hating. Sit down, shut up and enjoy the freaking video.

  21. I really enjoyed watching this video, so props to James! & everyone who filmed his part! Keep up the good work lucky =)

  22. Okay...

I'll start off my comment on a great note. James, i really enjoyed this. Lots of creativity and it really looked like you enjoyed yourself while making this. That's something I personally look for in any video. if you're not having fun.. that will convey through the video. so great work man!

Next.. enough with this back and fourth banter. We all have opinions and we all are entitled to them. That doesn't mean they are right and that also doesn't mean you need to go spewing them all over the place. It's like vomit and it's getting everywhere. It's rather nasty.

While i do personally agree that Jordan shouldn't project negative opinions on the blog. At the same time, This is a rider owned and operated blog. if you don't like what you see, there are other places to go for your scooter news.

Keep it respectful, clean, and awesome like it has been. bring the unity back. I'm tired of seeing people drive a steak through everything. i don't give a fuck what terrain you ride, who you ride for nor how you ride. if you ride a scooter, you're a friend to me.

  23. jesuuuus, all of you scooter dooders need to calm down about the opinions and shit. not everyone is gonna say something good about every video on here, but fuck it, sometimes people need to hear criticism. thats how people get better. stop trying to patrol what people have to say, if you like it give em props and if you dont, hate all you want. personally, good shit james, not really feeling the music choices so far but im looking forward to the rest of the parts.

  24. Amen. Awesome video man! The sport is still to young to have this much drama.

  25. hey dude, that 50-50 to whip over was real cheesy!
