Difference Between Integrated and Standard Headsets by DSA
Gotta be honest with you.. when I started riding, and even a good 2-3 years into the sport, nobody really used bmx headsets with their stock scooters. However, this sport has evolved to the point where using a bmx threadless headset is now a standard used by almost everyone.
The past couple of years brought upon a new change, integrated decks..which use, integrated headsets. I know a lot of people know the difference, but there are still a good amount that don't. For all of you that want to learn a little bit more about the difference in an integrated headset, and a standard headset, check out the piece below from DSA.

dear DSA: DSA is legit, but, WHY DO YOU EXTEND THE IMAGES? next time to expand and image please press SHIFT, stuff like this makes me sad :(
ReplyDeleteThe service at DSA with Dave is great, but I have to say this. You should be carrying the quality parts of the industry, not chinese garbage like district and blunt.
ReplyDeletewe didn't extend them, they were compacted to fit the inside scooter layout which now we know wont accommodate that layout. The image was a standard half page in-design doc see facebookhttp://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=169379943134661&set=pu.109572065782116&type=1&theater
ReplyDeletewhat about Chinese products like Phoenix? ....
ReplyDeleteAll these idiots quick to say stuff about china haha... and garbage? District is probably the 2nd most bought deck right bow, behind Phoenix. As for "chinese garbage" where do you think ever razor product AND MGP product is made? Silly simple minded kids.
ReplyDeleteSecond coment anon.... You dont know what ur talking about.......
ReplyDeleteShould have mentioned semi integrated as well seeing as there a few decks using it now. Also on integrated there are a few different bearing sizes so you need to make sure you buy the right size.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how long it will be before a scooter company uses the new tapered head tubes that are on a lot of mountain bikes now.
I'm waiting to see a tapered or 1.5 as well, with a angle set you could adjust your Head tube angle by 1.5 degrees - or +
ReplyDeleteJust because something sells well does not mean in any way that it is a good product. It, in District's case, means that it is cheap and hyped.
ReplyDeleteI doubt that 1.5" will become popular in scooters, but who knows.
Bitch district is so good
DeleteYeah thats great and cool idea.
ReplyDeleteHeadsets are the most popular and and we need it most.
do i need a compression system with an integrated threadless headset, threadless forks and integrated deck
ReplyDeleteMy son has a Dominator Commandor but now wants a District. Between the two (intergrated and non) does it change the feeling in the ride? to me, it's just difference in price so of course i want to go with the cheaper one.
