Ryan Upchurch and Cameron Ward ages 15 and 13, are the only two riders that are on the US District Team. Up until earlier this summer, they had never gotten a chance to ride together. When they finally got the chance, they both took full advantage...and the result is hands down one of my favorite videos I've seen in a long time.
To see Ryan ride in person is something that is tough to even put to words. It's kind of simple with Ryan, whatever the trick is, or whatever he's doing it over or down...if he wants to do it. He will do it. Simple as that. He honestly is that talented.
With Cameron it's basically the same...to watch Cam ride in person is kind of a reality check to how consistant a rider can be. He's got so much natural ability and style to his riding, that everything he does just sort of flows together effortlessly. At only 13 years old, I feel we've yet to even see his true potential. I guess that can easily be said about District riders.
As the Manager of both Ryan and Cameron, I have to say I am extremely proud of both of them. This video showcases why they are both on the District Team. Good job to both of you guys. Keep it up.

I didnt really like this as much as i thought i would. There were some really good tricks but just wayy to much filler. I feel like a 5 minute video would have been better.

ReplyDeleteWe flew Ryan to California, because Ryan's never been to California and always wanted to go. And wouldn't you know it! He had a camera with him....Want to know the weird thing? THEY USED HIS CAMERA?! And filmed clips?!?!?! But don't worry Dylan.....it gets even weirder! They made a video after with all the clips they filmed!

ReplyDeleteDylan, a DVD of 2 team members isnt going to be very long or worth filming. I think when the district team grows with more people then a DVD would make sense. But for now youtube is fine.

Ive been around in this sport much longer than you, acomplished much more than you, and am a very good a friend of cameron and ryan. And lastly, there is nothing wrong with some constructive criticism.

You spend most of your time finding any reason to cut down other riders who YOU don't see as up to your standards. It's sad dude... You got talent on your scooter, and with a camera, but without either...you're a fucking dick. Sad but true...and everyone knows it.
Oh and you don't understand making videos for youtube comments and views? Need I remind you that you're one of the few people in the sport that has over 10 Mini videos....all of which can be found, On Youtube.
