Ryan Upchurch...Flair 6? whip.
I can't even count that high, whats wrong with this kid??? Doin it for Blunt, ECX, and Inside. Apparently he was only going for the quint whip, but accidentally stuck the sextuple. This kid is seriously messed up haha.
Edit: I wasn't gonna post this saying I thought it was only five but many other people are agreeing that it is "just five". Like BK said in the comments, if you count from when the back wheel passes by his feet, its definitely 5. Regardless, doing that many whips while upside down is still super crazy, I don't think anyone but him even does flair quads? Someone can correct me on that though.
Edit #2: Dmazz posted a video in the comments of another angle of Ryan's clip. What do you think it is? Check out the new poll up top and let us know how many whips you think it is.

it should be called a hex whip.
ReplyDeleteif u watch closely it was only 5, but still insane
ReplyDelete.. this is a quint... insane regardless
ReplyDeleteHoly S***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is not possible!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I said I can't even count that high...I actually do mean that I can't count 6 whips there. but ryan says its 6 and unless theres footage from a better angle I'll have to say 6.
ReplyDeletehaha just count how many times the back wheel is pointed back toward him .. it's 5
ReplyDeleteIts not 6, trust me and BK lol. Count it closely it only passes by his feet 5 times, its just the flip that makes it look like there's a 6th
ReplyDeleteI'm more impressed that people think it's 6 than I am that he landed it :P
ReplyDeleteif you count how many times the deck whips around from the starting point, its 6. if you count how many times it passes his feet, its 5
ReplyDeleteno style.
ReplyDeleteFor BK and Kenny

^that video just confirms for me that its five.
ReplyDeletein the very begining it looks like he did two because his body covered the deck but after watching about 20 times i realized he only did one meaning he did five, not six
ReplyDeletedefiantly 5
ReplyDeleteIt's five, you have to think that it's 180... so see how many times the deck goes below the feet.
ReplyDeletethat shit is SICK but i must say it's quit, like BK and Kenny are saying, if it was sextuple, a 360 whip would be called 360 double whip then.
ReplyDeleteBTW, props Ryan, that shit still dope, keep it up.
There's one whip that he throws while his body is infront of the deck I think
ReplyDeleteat first i thought forsure it was 6 since he is upside down and turned the other way but it you watch closely and take in consider that he is upside down and turned the other way its actually 5
ReplyDeleteif you just watch near his arms, it looks like six, but if you watch the deck.. its for sure 5. i think that might be why people think its six cause his arms move as if was throwing six.
ReplyDeletewhat graham said.. 75% of this scooter world is mentally challenged.
ReplyDeleteu hear the person filming whisper "six", but I do believe it was 5, what fernando saiid..
ReplyDeletethats def 6 learn to count
ReplyDeleteOfficially 5 Whips. End of discussion. Sick as can be!
ReplyDeleteHonestly you guys all sound ridiculous...Its an awesome trick regardless.
ReplyDeletegah i thought it was 6 for so many view but yeah now im seeing the 5ness of it all. freaking ridiculous. way too many whips though, haha there comes a point where you just gotta realize after three it becomes hard to notice...GOOD JOB RYAN <3
ReplyDeletethis is why i hate anything more then 3 whips, after that it can get confusing as to how many is actually done unless its super slow mo lol im gonna have to agree its only 5, still so insane though!
ReplyDeleteDakota does flairs with five whips in competitions did em in Montreux
ReplyDeleteThats most def a 5 whip. Super gnarly!!
ReplyDelete5
ReplyDeleteI dont Know About you Guys Buht it was Def 5 and 1/4 LOL :)
ReplyDeleteI cant believe anyone cares this much...
ReplyDeletethe first begin very later , we can see he push it with his feet ! 5 !
ReplyDeleteWhere is the "who cares" selection on the poll?
ReplyDeletedude...its six...
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely 5. It's a sick trick either way. I can't even do both of them, separately. Let alone, together LOL
ReplyDeleteIts 5 I've seen Kota do them and it looks like six when he does them
