A Throwback this Thursday to a Jam that ended all too soon. The Brooklyn Banks are one of the most well known spots in the world in action sports. So everyone was stoked when some of the top riders in New York put together the idea of having a Brooklyn Banks Jam. The Jam was a complete success. This is from 2007, and the amount of OGs that made their way to the banks is amazing. I really wish these Jams could have kept happening, I could have easily seen the BB Jam being right up there with the Paris Street Jam. Enjoy this throwback.
Look out for clips from the one and only Stevon Wilson as well. He threw down the Front Bri, and the Tuckerdriver down the set. R.I.P Stevon.

Throwback Thursday: Matt Andrus Sponsor Video
The year was 2005, we still bolted our folding mechs, and basically rode our scooters stock out of the box. A rider that had blasted onto the scene a few years earlier, was Matt Andrus, a BMXer who had found a new passion in Scooters. Matt is a true pioneer of our sport, and some of the tricks you will see in this video, are "World Firsts" as you guys call them today. We didn't bother with titles like that back then, a new trick, was just a new trick, and Matt did a lot of them. This video was highly praised when it released over 9 years ago for Matt's tech style, and crazy barspin combos. A true legend of the sport, and someone I am glad to say is a good friend of mine. Check it out.

New Josh Toy full length edit? Not yet, but maybe soon.
Few riders can say they've been in the sport as long as Josh Toy, hell even I started a year or so after Josh had been riding Scooters. So it goes without saying that he is definitely an OG of the sport. He has delivered solid full length parts in the past, but that was waay in the past. RVMs, and NBS days. Lately he's been talking about filming a new full length, and that got me pretty stoked. What do you guys think of Josh filming a new full length?
Below are some of Josh's older parts, and they're all pretty much classics.
NBS 3 Section (2002-2003)
RVM 4 Section
NBS 4 Section (Still love this whole video)

Rest in Peace: Daniel Warwick
I write this with tears in my eyes, and my vision blurred. My mind is a mess right now, but Daniel deserves this, he deserves this, and he deserved a lot more while he was alive. Yesterday, Daniel Warwick took his own life.
Daniel was an OG, which is why a lot of you younger riders probably have no idea who he is, or how talented he was. Dan was responsible for single handedly taking the "barspin" to new levels, and he made it look effortless.
With his tiny bars, he pushed the boundaries time and time again with his barspin combos, throwing em into manuals, and with 180s to fakie like it was no big deal. He built a solid fan base, and people in turn started to see barspins differently. I'm not going to go into details about how Dan's life took a different turn, I'm here to celebrate Dan, despite how sad of a time this is for the OG riding community, and his friends and family. I wish more than anything that Dan was still here with us, but he is in a better place now. Free from pain, depression, and anything else that plagued him. I Love You Dan, I'm Sorry, and I'll Miss You. Rest In Peace Brother. See you someday.

Throwback Thursday: Jesse Macaluso Mini Video 3
Once again you're going to need to be pretty OG to recognize this video and all that it stands for. This video solidified Jesse Mac as one of the sports all time greats. When Jesse first hit the scene in the early early 2000s people didn't really believe he was as good as he said he was. Once Jesse started dropping videos, that quickly changed. He was one of the few riders who were always ahead of the game.
His local was TIC, and you knew it the second you saw him riding the park. There are plenty of TIC clips in this video, and at the time he was most likely the only person throwing down most of the tricks being done in the video at TIC. Besides the riding, I think Jesse's Mini 3 was responsible for a huge amount of The Fall of Troy fans. The song used is "F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X" and if you were around when this video dropped, I can pretty much guarantee that every time you heard this song, you thought of Jesse's Mini 3. Check it out below.

Fernando Young District 2012 Edit
Fernando is a true OG in the sport, and he has the accomplishments to prove it, one of them of course being that he has one of the best signature wheels we've ever seen by Eagle-Sport. He spent some time with longtime friend Hep Greg who filmed some of this edit as well. He's always had his own signature style which is what makes Fernando so enjoyable to watch, check it out

Welcome to Phoenix Pro Scooters: Josh Toy
it comes to being a true OG, you gotta mention Josh Toy. This guy has been around since the beginning, has a ton of "world firsts" and like a few other OG's out there, he is still in the sport, and still getting it done. Josh recently got picked up by Phoenix Pro Scooters, and this is his Welcome edit. While it can get tough finding time to go ride real street/park with a full time job. It has to feel good knowing the place Josh does work at, Scooter Zone, has some stuff for him to ride right inside.

Micro Makes a Comeback
Some would say you need to be pretty OG to know, and remember Micro. Don’t worry because that is changing soon with their new line of products, and an entire new Team to represent them in Europe, UK, AUS, and US. Micro is somewhat iconic and remembered in our sport mainly for the metal core wheels they made so many years ago. They were the first real metal core wheels that people started to really buy, despite their expensive price.. But we’ve come a long way since their wheels.I’m sure some of you also remember their “one piece deck” with the neck tube that had to be bolted on? Which thinking back on now, was one of the first flat sided “box” decks on the market. It’s just a shame it was so heavy haha. The years passed, and the Micro Team faded away, or moved onto other companies, and it took a while, but Micro is back, and this time, they’re here to stay.
The Team has been recreated from the ground up. Not only that, but legend of the sport, BenJ Friant is back with Micro. BenJ spent some time with District, but after countless broken promises, and ridiculous amounts of money stolen from him, he made the decision to leave the company. To go along with the new Team, they have the new scooters, and they’re looking good. Micro will be in events all across the world, from Peru to Mexico, to the USA, and a European Tour. The Swiss company is back, and they intend to push Micro harder than ever.

RAD is Back.. for Good

Now if for some reason you just happen to have been living under a rock, and don't know about RAD, let me break it down. RAD stands for "Ride and Destroy". RAD was the company that sparked the industry when it came to after market parts, mainly one piece bars. To this day, RAD bars are still imitated by numerous companies. Though RAD has been relatively quiet for some time, we recently got word here at Inside-Scooters that they are making a come back. Not just a temporary come back, but a 100%, here to stay, come back. Read the statement below from Cory Vanlew, an OG rider from RAD, for more details.
"Yo my fellow shredders! It's Cory Vanlew here bringing you guys a RAD update. As you may or may not of heard RAD Skoot Co. is making yet another comeback in the year 2012, the difference this time is we are here for good. Production of parts and engineering new products was stopped briefly for minor issues. This is no longer the case, RAD is in the process of making signature parts and bringing some new flavor to the table all while still keeping the "grimey" image that RAD is known for. You can expect to see a Signature Handlebar Series coming soon, adding some new designs to the RAD handlebar line up. The team is also working to stack clips for a series of web videos to be released. So expect some quality riding from all the OG riders which includes, Cary Mosebrucker, Tyler Bonner, Stan Smirnoff, Cory Vanlew, and a top secret new team member whose name I can't drop just yet. We have a great mix of riders who all live a "Ride and Destroy" lifestyle, just having fun on our skoots with the friends we grew up slammin metal and Rainier beers with in the beautiful State of Washington. Keep on pushin kids, and stay tuned into Inside-Scooters for more RAD updates/videos coming soon..."
- Cory Vanlew
So you guys heard it, RAD is back. Keep checking ISB for more updates and news relating to RAD, and in the meantime, check out RAD OG, Stan Smirnoff doing a real Grizzly Air.... not a one footer.
