Crisp Woodward East Promo 2014

Crisp sure has turned it around haven't they? At one time they were overlooked by most riders, but it's hard to ignore a company that has a Team that is this talented. This video starts off with Jake Hershey informing everyone about Woodward East now allowing scooter riders full time, which we can all thank Kimberly Funk for. It's amazing that Woodward acknowledges scooters to this extent now.

After that, it gets straight into the riding, and there's a lot of it. Devin Pelphrey, Jon Devrind, Lewis Williams, and Josh Toy. I sat there watching Jon Dev kill it, and was like, "Ooh so this is what happens when you take Jon Dev and stick him at Woodward" Dude killed it so hard. And I think I can honestly sit and watch Lewis all day. Devin went hard as always, and I think it will take me some time getting used to Josh on Crisp, but he was hanging with the dudes no problem. Good promo for sure.

New Josh Toy full length edit? Not yet, but maybe soon.

Few riders can say they've been in the sport as long as Josh Toy, hell even I started a year or so after Josh had been riding Scooters. So it goes without saying that he is definitely an OG of the sport. He has delivered solid full length parts in the past, but that was waay in the past. RVMs, and NBS days. Lately he's been talking about filming a new full length, and that got me pretty stoked. What do you guys think of Josh filming a new full length?

Below are some of Josh's older parts, and they're all pretty much classics.

Josh Toy 2012 Throwaway

Josh went through some old footage from last year, and compiled up this throwaway edit. Josh has stuck true to his roots for as long as I can remember. Though in the past couple of years we've seen him take his tech riding a bit further, part of that is due to him always having a busy work schedule, and never really getting to go ride street or park. So there are a lot of box clips, and mini ramp clips in here. Definitely worth a watch though.

Phoenix Pro Scooters: Woodward West Fall 2012

Phoenix Pro rider Josh Toy, put this edit together of footage from the Phoenix Team at Woodward West. Really liked the edit, and it has Capron Funk's double front flip which was really cool to see. Needed more dirt footage though, seemed like only Josh was getting down, gotta stick Dan or Jon on there and see what's up haha. Check it out below.

Woodward East Scooter Fest 2012

Josh Toy shot and edited this video from Woodward East. There is plenty of Megaramp footage from everyone. The song sounds super familiar, but I can't place it. Everyone kills it, but this really showcases just how much of a powerhouse Raymond Warner is. To throw down the tricks hes throwing down over the mega is pretty ridiculous. And there is some quarterpipe air footy as well. Really sick edit.

Phoenix West Coast Tour Days 3 and 4

Catching up with the Phoenix Team on their West Coast Tour again. Evan Larson and Dan Barret have been hard at work with the filming and editing, making sure that at each stop they are able to toss together another edit. On Day 3 it looks like they hit up a few parks, and Ryan Gould is up in there. And on Day 4 the Phoenix Team hit up the Scooter Zone AM Jam. Where you get treated to a few clips by Monky, long time friend and former Team rider of Scooter Zone. Check it out below.

Welcome to Phoenix Pro Scooters: Josh Toy

it comes to being a true OG, you gotta mention Josh Toy. This guy has been around since the beginning, has a ton of "world firsts" and like a few other OG's out there, he is still in the sport, and still getting it done. Josh recently got picked up by Phoenix Pro Scooters, and this is his Welcome edit. While it can get tough finding time to go ride real street/park with a full time job. It has to feel good knowing the place Josh does work at, Scooter Zone, has some stuff for him to ride right inside.

Dylan Becker Farewell Video

Ohio transplant Dylan Becker recently flew back from California where he was working at a Scooterzone shop, and so he, along with Josh Toy and Spencer Steed, made this video on the box they have. Super smooth and dialed combos from everyone, Spence has those heelwhip feebles on lockdown.

Josh Toy Scooter Check

Josh Toy recently got another scooter check done. He breaks down his whole set up, and follows it up with some solid clips. Keep your eyes open for switch tricks. It is pretty nuts that you can't clearly tell his switch clips, that's how clean they are. For the record I believe he rides Regular, so all that goofy is switch. Check it out below.

Josh Toy hangs his hat with Razor?

As some of you already know thanks to Josh Toy's Facebook post, He resigned his position with Razor. After 10 long years with the company Josh has decided to pursue other interests. Josh plans to still be proactive in the sport, with talk of a new Signature Product through Scooter Zone, exciting news for Josh. Once i heard the news of Josh's leaving, i called him right away. Seeing as how I had the chance to catch up with Josh, I thought I'd let you guys know whats going on.
Terry Price & Josh Toy Woodward 2011

There is no bad blood between Josh and Razor, both parties are mutually happy for the work both had done together over the past 10 years and are very grateful for each other. "It's time for me to move on, Razor has been great but I need to see what else is out there for me" Josh said, with hinting undertones of gratitude. Weather you think the person on the Razor van is Josh or not, Razor, Like Josh, is making big changes and show great promise for this 2011 season.

Josh Toy Razor Video

Josh Toy doin it big (and tech) for Razor. You always know you're in for a treat when Mr. Toy drops a new video, and this one isn't any different. I'm diggin the grind switchups, you never see those being done. And that manual on top of the box at the end is huge. Reminds me of one that Josh Young did in Transit 2 at Whitewater. Coincidentally, both Joshs' ride Tilt pegs. And both kill them.

RVM1 Point X Footage

If you're into the history of our sport at all (I know I am) then you'll definitely enjoy this. RVM1 was Razor's first Video Magazine, (but their 2nd actual video, after Evolution) and featured Jarrett Reid, Josh Toy, Ricky Wernicke, and Razor's other OG's. Josh was still killin the manual combos way back when haha. Fun video to watch for sure.

Josh Toy Ipod Check

(Josh and his wife, April, at their wedding.)

Josh Toy. You all know the name, which has been synonymous with Razor for years. A seasoned veteran at the ripe old age of 24, Josh has traveled all over the world to ride for his sponsors. Living in Anaheim, CA means going to places like Japan, Wisconsin, and the East Coast takes a long time. One of the things that helps make the ride a little more tolerable for Josh, is music. Josh has his own custom 8 gig Ipod Shuffle...which I told him to turn to shuffle, and list the first 10 songs that came up. Here is Josh Toy's Ipod Check.

1. Alexisonfire - Emerald Street
I got turned onto Alexisonfire when I met up with Chris Daigle after he moved to San Diego, CA with his now ex-girlfriend. It was shortly before the Open Ground Comp in Reno. We ended up taking Chris to the Open Ground Comp, via my wifes hot momma mini van, haha. We blasted Alexisonfire the entire way there, and pretty much the entire way back. Good times.

2. Asher Roth - Lark On My Go-Kart
Him and Eminem have been two of the select few I heard on MTV and thought were actually talented. Asher Roth gets compared to Eminem because he is a white rapper and happens to kind of sound like Eminem back in the Slim Shady days. But he's definitely unique. One of my favorite hip hop artists now.

3. Circa Survive - Act Appalled
Circa Survive is super legit. I have been a fan for awhile. If you're into bands like Saosin or Chiodos, you will enjoy this band. You can also hear them in the BLT videos.

4. Lower Definition - To Satellite
I've been an avid fan of Lower Definition for about ten years now. They are signed to Ferret Music now, same label that bands like In Flames, Elysia, The Devil Wears Prada, and many others are signed to. They are a band from San Diego. My first show I saw them at, was actually my first ever show. I was excited as hell. I came mainly to see them, but they were also playing with Yesterdays Rising. After that show, I was really stoked on them. I also used some of their old music, pre Ferret signing, in KC Cornings RVM4 part.

5.He Is Legend - Don't Touch That Dial
Southern hard rock at it's best. One of those extremely underrated bands. I have seen them live a couple times and they are still considered one of the best bands I've ever seen. I remember the last show I went to, a guy in the crowd threw a bottle of water and it hit the lead singer in the head. They were in the middle of "The Seduction" and the entire band stopped. Stood on stage, not a word spoken, lead singer looking at the lead guitarist with a "okay, that just happened?!?!" look on his face. After a good 20-30 second of silence and fans booing the person. Everyone thought this was their way of saying fuck you, we're done. They randomly started back up off a hard note mid way through I Am Hollywood. Sickest fucking thing I have ever seen live, haha.

6. Outasight - Brand New Day
Really good underground white hip hop artist from New York. He just signed to Asylum/Warner Music. I've been a fan for a few years now. He looks nerdy as shit, would never think he was a hip hop artist. Then you hear him, and he's incredible. Found him on MySpace Music while browsing for good hip hop to possibly edit with.

7. The Devil Wears Prada - Assistant To The Regional Manager
Amazing band. And this just so happens to be my favorite song by them.

8. The Black Dahlia Murder - I'm Charming
Great metal band. Many nights of drinking with friends and listening to this band.

9. The Rise Of Science - Dark Eyes Dreaming
Fairly new band to me. They added me as a friend on MySpace and I have been listening to them ever since. Kind of reminds me of Circa Survive in a way, just not such whiny vocals.

10. Metallica - Dyers Eve
I've been listening to Metallica since I was about four, haha. My father has always been a metalhead at heart. We had long drives across the country for national races in BMX and Metallica was one of the most listened to bands on those trips. So I grew up on old Metallica. In my opinion, there have only been a handful of good songs from Metallica after The Black Album. Dyers Eve is one of my favorite songs from Metallica also.

Congrats Josh Toy

Josh Toy, one of the oldest OG's of our sport, recently got married. Josh and April were wed on December 5th. Josh has been on Razor for pretty much forever, and has had a number of other sponsors as well. And now he can add getting married to his list of accomplishments, haha. Congrats to the happy couple!

Josh Toy NBS3 part

Josh recently uploaded this video to Youtube. This was filmed back in 2002-2003...super old stuff. Old enough to have the first tailwhip to barspin, in fact. Theres a couple other firsts in there as well, according to Josh, like the 360 indy, turndown nosegrab, and x-up stalefish. And of course, theres a couple of Josh's signature superman grabs.
