Throwback Thursday: Matt McKeen Scooterology

It's over 8 years old, and it is still every bit as amazing as it was back in 07. Matt McKeen put the street scene in check when this video came out. You knew after watching this video, that he was going to be leading the pack for a very long time, and most people's eyes, he still does today. No tricks out custom scooters in this video, just OG razors.

Matt McKeen recently left long time sponsor, Addict. The details on why aren't known by many yet, but I think most people have a pretty good idea of where Matt might end up. For now, check out this classic below.

Matt McKeen: Welcome to The Team

The River Team that is. Matt McKeen has been leading the pack when it comes to street riding for a very long time now. With each part he drops, he reminds people why he is so respected as a street rider. Always pushing himself, and never dropping stale clips, Wallride at the end over the rail was intense. Check it out below.

MATT MCKEEN | Welcome to VEX

Matt McKeen showin that he's still the king.  I didn't even realize he was going to be on Vex, what with him going on the Elyts trips and all.  Sick of Elyts to have him do that.  On another note, HD is sick and all, but this truly shows how good an SD video can be when filmed well.  Definitely took me back to the Philly Crew/Dream Team Supreme days.

Vex is off to a good start with this, I'd say.  Gonna be interesting seeing what their next move is.

The Philly Files: Matt McKeen

Steeze McBeem on the track for the Philly Files video.  So many gnar, grimey spots, and so much amazing riding.  You know its good, so watch it again.

The Philly Files

A lot of riders have been wanting this video to drop, and it finally has. A lot of work was put into this, not just in the riding, but the editing and filming as well. There are quite a few riders featured, and honestly everyone had really solid clips. Parrish really stuck out to me, it seems like he came out of no where in the past year or so, but man has he made an impact in that time. I also think these are some of Gregs best clips to drop in a long ass time.

It's over 30 minutes long, and well worth each minute. Get comfy and enjoy this one, and go out and hit up the streets once it's done. I'd be surprised if you didn't.

Matt McKeen- Addict Blacksmith Deck Test + Addict Team News

Addict's new deck, the Blacksmith, looks rad.  Matt puts it through its paces in this short video.  It was also announced that Maxime "Lebaron" Legrand is off the team, and Tobias Mayer is now on.  Interesting to see that Maxime is off, but it's not too surprising to see Tobias on.  He deserves it for sure.

Snake Charmers

If you haven't seen this yet, you missed out.  Hep, Logan, and Matt were at it again in this park montage.  It's more of a chill video compared to the Dissidence USA video that recently came out but there's some bangin clips in this one for sure.  Such a good crew to watch, and you just know that riding together only makes them way better.

Dissidence Distribution USA Philly/NYC Trip

Damn.  This video is incredible.  Matt McKeen, Logan Fuller, and Hep Greg are starting up a US branch for Dissidence, and original Dissidence guys JD and Balth came with Roots Boy to the states to film this video.  Amazing riding from everyone, from Logan's tricks on the cut Philly rail, JD's huge hops, Greg's endless steeze, Balth's solid tech, and watch out for McKeen's switch tricks...and the ender, Williamsburg gap to rail?  Even without a trick out is insane.  Yara Haynes and David Martinez came through with some guest clips too.  If you haven't started watching the video yet, you can start now.

Boxes Limited: Facebook Q and A's with Matt McKeen pt 1 of 3

Matt McKeen is one of the pioneers of street riding, and is arguably the best street rider in the world. He rides for Boxes Limited, and one of the things I love that Boxes does are these Facebook Q and As. This is part 1 of 3, and I can't wait for the other two to drop.

Boxes Limited Apparel went ahead and let their Facebook fans ask pro rider Matt McKeen any question they'd like and he answered them on video. He answered so many that it's going to be a 3 part series. Make sure to check out more from Boxes to see older Facebook Q&A's with Dylan Kasson and Brandon Kilbury.

Throwback Thursday: French ID Team Video 2008

When this video dropped back in 2008, French ID was THE Team. Future Addict riders like Jandiv Randriambelson, Maxime Legrand, Matt McKeen, Johann Moreau, and Alex Peasley all started out first with French ID. Which made this Team one of the most talent stacked teams of that time. When this edit came out, people quickly realized that. Some riders like Matt McKeen had already established themselves at some of the best in the sport. But for some of the other guys, we were only starting to see the first hints that they were bound to progress into ridiculous riders. Take a look back at some of the sports best today with this weeks Throwback Thursday.

And who could forget the two songs used in this edit? Classic.

Throwback Thursday: The Philly Crew Video Journal 8

This video earned the Throwback Thursday spot for so many different reasons. Not only does it feature riders that helped put the East Coast on the map when it came to riding, but it features them at a really important time of Scootering. During the years of 2006 and 2007 I guess you can say most riders were really starting to find themselves.

Dan Barrett lowered his bars a bit, and his style improved ten fold. Matt McKeen was clearly starting to separate himself from everyone else in the street game. We would see riders like Cory Winard, Frank Coler, and Mike McGowan killing it, who we can't see riding anymore. The same can be said about Philly legends Casey Murphy and Brian Boston. Everything in this edit makes it so fun to watch. You got everyone on old school Razor models, no aftermarket parts, two killer songs, and a lot of good riding from some OGs that paved the way for a lot of riders today. Check it out.

Boxes Limited - Recycled

Boxes decided to toss up all the promos into one big edit. Now that's how you recycle. So sick to see the whole Team riding in one edit. Really makes you understand how well represented Boxes Limited is. Great watch.

Matt McKeen Boxes Limited Promo *VIDEO*

Matt McKeen doing what he does for Boxes Limited. Killing it. Street talent at its finest. To anyone that has honestly questioned Matt McKeen when it comes to being one of the leaders not only in the street game, but in this sport. You obviously haven't known Matt long enough to know what he's accomplished, and how he has proven himself time and time again, with sometimes even throwaway edits. His promo below has some ridiculous stuff as well, so definitely check it.

Boxes Limited Matt McKeen Signature Shirt Preview

Matt McKeen "Warmups"

I don't care who you are...these are not warm ups.  Get to see that hurricane from the Boxes ad, so nuts.  Switch whip down that gap by the way.  His Boxes promo is still yet to come out, I hope we get to see some "good" footage in that haha.
