Scooter Zone New Orange County Shop
So as most of you know Scooter Zone is now working with Inside-Scooters. We recently did a piece on them for their Riverside Shop..Which you can check out by clicking the link below.
Inside-The Zone
However, Scooter Zone recently opened up a brand new shop here in Southern California, in Orange County. I had the chance to go with SZ rider and employee Nick Darger to check out the Orange County Shop the other day.
When I first walked into the OC shop, it looked amazing. The way Scooter Zone sets stuff up is made perfectly to catch your eye. If you are a customer coming in for the first time, you will have an extremely hard time not wanting to make a purchase. Here are some pictures from inside the new OC Scooter Zone shop.
Shot of the front area where you can make your purchases
Right wall, full of bars, Razor products, Griptape and apparel
Left wall, Complete scooters on display that are all available for purchase
Front counter, For wheels, bearings, headsets, pegs, and more
Front counter right side, Forks, Decks, Clamps, and Compressions systems
As always the presentation was great. They do a really good job at Scooter Zone in keeping everything presentable and as clean as possible. Not shown in the pictures but there is also a bathroom available for customers.
So I finished taking those above shots, when I remember overhearing about something while in the Riverside shop last week...I remember that they were planning to build something in the back room...
when I first opened the doors I got my first peek. But before I was able to check it out, I had to check out the new area where the Scooter Zone staff would do what they really shine at...which is putting customers scooters together, piece by piece. Though it may seem like an easy job to some of you at home, to take a part your scooter and put it back together. It is a bit different when you got customers waiting just on the other side of the door for the scooter they paid for. Yet the guys who work at Scooter Zone make it look easy and effortless. Below is a shot of the new work area where all of this gets done.
Now onto the fun stuff...and what I was waiting to check out. The pictures will speak for themselves on this one haha.
The set up was sick. And as I was back there checking it all out, I got word that Tyler Wheeland, Eagle-Sport and Lucky Scooter's rider was showing up soon with fellow LSP Team riders, James Gee and Evan Yamada of Washington. Tyler showed up with some friends and James and Evan. Who you can see in the pic below.
It wasn't long before T-Whee couldn't help himself...and started to ride the ramps. He threw a nice footjam on one of the quarters.....but I cut his head off =)
As they day went on, Tyler and the Lucky guys took off to ride some parks. And it was back to work for Nick Darger who works at the OC Scooter Zone on Thursdays. Julio Oceguera who was actually on his day off, stopped by and was helping and hanging out with us the whole day. Julio works at the OC Scooter Zone full time, and it shows when the customers walk in. Most of them know Julio by name, and it is really obvious that a lot of the younger kids that shop at Scooter Zone look up to him a lot. I do believe I heard one of them asking for Julio's autograph haha. He does an amazing job there.
As the day died down, and the customer traffic slowed down, Julio asked Nick to film a couple clips of him riding the back set up. I gotta say, Julio shreds those ramps like nobodies business. The below pic is of Julio throwing a 360 whip over the spine. While Julio is a street rider, he can still def. shred park when he wants to.
The day was coming to an end, and we were all getting ready to leave. And as we were about to head out the door...we found someone in a tree right infront of the shop we didn't expect to see, who obviously wanted to get a first hand look at the new Scooter Zone shop himself.
My experience at the OC Scooter Zone, was just as enjoyable as last weeks visit to the Riverside Scooter Zone. If you are in Southern California, and you need ANYTHING done to your scooter, or just want to stop in and ask a question to one of the experienced SZ staff. Scooter Zone is the place to be. And you now got two shops to choose from instead of one. So if you are closer to Orange County, and were previously driving all the way to Riverside to get to Scooter Zone...your problem is now solved. One thing you can be sure of is that no matter which Scooter Zone you visit, you are going to get the same friendly, great, quality service. For those of you in the So Cal area that want to check out the new Scooter Zone in the OC, the address is below.

I think scooter zone should open up a shop in Canada, because i love to shred but there's nowhere to get stuff other than online shops and then you have to pay for shipping billing, customs etc......
