Brandon James District Edit

By now most of you guys already have your own opinion about District as a company, but there's one thing you can't deny. They have some seriously talented riders on their roster. From Coedie, to Chris Hart, and Tom Mattingly, and one of my new favorite riders to watch, The UK's Brandon James. Brandon seriously doesn't have any weaknesses when he rides. It seems like he's one of those guys that can do it all, and make it look easy. This was one of those edits that you didn't want to end. Kid has loads of style, and a bright future in the sport for sure.

Skates.co.uk Update

First up we got an interview with Ryan Mcnamara, Grit Pro rider, and ranked number 2 in the world in the competition circuit. Ryan discusses his rise to fame, competitions, the new Grit prototype deck, which looks pretty good, and more. So definitely check it out.

Also, Dirt Scoots aren't just getting popular in the US. They're also popping up in The UK. Skates.Co.Uk will be selling the following scooter in the next month or so. So Ben got one before hand and was able to do an in depth review on it. Check it out below.

Blaow!

"Blaow!" is a group of friends that ride together in the UK.  As you can tell from the video it features a ton of guys which is really cool to see.  What's also cool to see is street-oriented riding beginning to develop more in the UK, which is something that's been missing there.  Luke Painter edited this and is editing another right now so keep your eyes open for another installment to the "Blaow!" series.

"Scoot Nation" a UK Magazine On The Horizon

There are only a few key things seperating our sport from other mainstream action sports, one of those is that we have a serious lack of print magazines. The whole point of a print magazine is simply to give the community something they can actually hold in their hands. Well the wait is almost over for The UK.

Soon they will all have their hands on a brand new magazine featuring top UK riders, News, and Photos. For more information read the press release below, and get details to a contest they are having.

Scoot Nation is the UK’s first freestyle scooter magazine that is completely FREE! The first issue is due for release on the 17th August and will be available from all hardcore scooter stores and skateparks.

The 140 page issue includes a guest US profile from one of the best riders around, UK pro rider profiles, How To trick guides, NASS & Razor Tour reports, UK scene coverage, hardware guides including customising, new products and maintenance, behind the scenes industry interviews, product reviews, skatepark guides, a reader pictures section and so much more!

Main features:

• US INVASION: Ryan Upchurch Profile
• STAR NUTS PROFILE: Luke Painter
• NASS and Razor Tour Reports
• London Takeover: Some of the sickest UK riders shred the capital
• How To Trick Guides
• And much more!

Scott Higgs Recent clips

Scott is another upcoming (and I believe unsponsored) UK rider.  Lots of pretty crazy tricks, a little sketch but I'm sure he'll get cleaner as time goes on.  He's kinda like the Brendon Smith of the UK.  Hopefully we can see progression in Scott just like we have in Brendon.

Rampworx Skatepark Petition (VOTE NOW!!)

Rampworx is an indoor skatepark in (correct me if I'm wrong) Liverpool, England and happens to be one of the best indoors in the UK...however, it currently does not allow scooters due to insurance reasons.  But right now they are conducting a poll on their website asking whether or not to allow scooters.  Terry Price sent the link to me where you can find the poll, check it out HERE.  Right now as it stands, scooters wouldn't be allowed, but with the help of everyone who reads IS, we should easily be able to push the number of votes allowing scooters higher.  So please, help our fellow UK riders out and take the 2 seconds to vote, thanks.  Once again, here is the link.

Edit:  Actually after checking again it looks like scooters are winning the poll.  If you haven't voted already please do so!  I heard Terry Price was going to pull a double flip cliffhanger if scooters get in.  And we alllllll wanna see that.

**edit** Seriously guys, if anyone who visits IS sees this post, take the time to click the link and vote! - Steven T

UK Riders on the Rise

I'll be honest here...we don't post enough UK content. Trust me though, we would love to start posting more if we had some more feedback from our UK readers. If you are from the UK and you know some top amateur riders that you feel deserve some spotlight on Inside-Scooters, email me! 1StevenT1@gmail.com

That's exactly what Lewis Williams did. Lewis emailed me about his friend Danny Roberts from Leicestershire, England who rides for RF Scooters. I really like Danny's riding, it's a bit different from a lot of UK riding. More street influenced, and really smooth. You can check that video out below.

As it would turn out, after emailing Lewis a couple more times. I found out he shreds with MaddUK's Graham Kimbell pretty frequently. Like Danny, he is also from Leicestershire, and also represents RF Scooters. Lewis sent a Day Video of himself, and while his style is more park oriented, it was still really good stuff. Both riders are really smooth. Check out the video of Lewis below.

Also keep checking Inside-Scooters in the future for both Lewis and Danny's new edits, which are currently being worked on.

Here's a third edit, this one of Ryan Scott, filmed by Graham Kimbell.  As you may be able to tell, Ryan rides with the other Madd UK guys and has really developed a smooth style...those 540s look dialed.  Pretty nice stuff from all these upcoming riders from the UK, hope to start seeing more great riders coming out of the area.

Madd UK Scotland Invasion

Madd's UK team recently took a three day trip to Scotland to ride some of the best indoor parks, and this is the result. The whole team is soo clean and stylish. Graham has got to be my favorite rider from the UK...there are no bounds to his style and creativity. He also did a great job with the editing.

Rob Wasp's Maddgear Bar Competition

So basically whats going on here, is that Rob from Madd UK has put a ton of stickers on a pair of bars, and is having a competition to see who can guess how many stickers he put on. The person closest to the correct amount will win the bars. To make your guess, email Rob at robs-bar-competition@hotmail.co.uk by Wednesday, November 24th at 11:59 GMT with your name, address, and ONE guess. Should there be a tie, he will put the names into a hat and draw one. Check Madd's Blog for more details.

Madd UK/Razor UK Tour DVD Trailer

Preview for the DVD coming of the summer tour the 2 teams did this past August. Looks like it'll be pretty sick, editing was really good. Its so awesome to see more teams doing tour type stuff, those are so much fun. I was lucky enough to be able to go on 2 different tours and I cannot wait to do one again.
