Charles Padel Throwaway (Testing new Blunt Aluminum Bars)

Charles Padel rides for Blunt Europe, and some of you may have rode with him at Woodward earlier this year. He is testing out the new Blunt Aluminum Bars, and they look pretty tight. This is Charles throwaway but there is still some good stuff mixed in there. Hope we get to see the new Blunt parts out soon.

Kodye Gregory Spits Fire For a New Set up and Blunt Scooters is now Envy in NZ and America

Ok so I know haters gonna try and hate, but Kodye killed it with this video. Envy was running a christmas contest, basically the person who could put together the best rap, would win Ryan Upchurch's complete set up. Pretty obvious that Kodye had this on lock down. Also, as most people know, in Australia Blunt Pro Scooters, was changed to Envy Pro Scooters. However, until now it remained Blunt in New Zealand and America. Well not anymore. Blunt will now be officially known as Envy in Aus, NZ, and America. Let it be known that in Europe and The UK, it will remain Blunt Pro Scooters. I personally like the name change a lot, and the new products coming out are getting a lot of good reviews. So just know that even though the name is changing, the quality of products is not. Michael Knudson Scooter Check

Blunt Pro Scooter's rider, Michael Knudson recently got his new deck, and made this scooter check shortly after. The deck he is riding is the new AOSv2 Street Deck. Needless to say, the deck looks amazing. I would really like to see decks with flat sides become a new standard with most decks. I literally don't see a downside to it. Envy Pro Scooters Max Peters and Brendon Smith NZ Tour

Recently Brendon and Max from Envy Pro Scooters, known as Blunt Pro Scooters here in the US, went on a trip to New Zealand. They hit up various street spots, and skateparks, and got some really good footage. Yes, you heard that right there are a good amount of street clips in this edit from these two park riders. By the way, the last clip in the video, by Max, that's something I've wanted to see done for a long time. Insane.

Blunt Complete Review + Win a Free Blunt Complete Contest!

Blunt Pro Scooters, known as Envy Pro Scooters in Australia is one company that is always trying to stay innovative with their designs and products. Blunt realized that one of the things that are hard to come by are reliable and affordable “Complete” scooters. So they started to produce the Blunt Completes. They come in quite a few different color combinations, and we recently got one to review here at Inside-Scooters. So let’s get into it.



We will go from the top to the bottom.

The grips that come with the Blunt Complete are the signature Blunt grips. I’m pretty picky when it comes to grips, but these felt pretty good. Not to hard and not to soft. I’m sure once you ride them for a while they will break in pretty good. I didn’t ride them for too long, so I don’t know if they wear quickly or not, I would hope they don’t.
The bars that come with the complete are 22 x 18 stripper bars. There’s not much to say about them that isn’t already known. They are really comfortable, really light, and come in the bmx style design, as opposed to the T bar style.
Going lower you got the Blunt 3 bolt clamp. Tightened it once, and never had to worry about it again. Really strong clamp from what I saw. Then you got the Blunt sealed headset, which spins like a dream. Didn’t have any problems with either of these.
Down to the fork, on the complete I received were the Blunt S.O.B. Forks, though I know some shops are selling them with the Blunt IHC Forks. They’re threadless, and really light.
The deck is the Blunt Envy Deck. It is nicely rounded on the sides and very fingerwhip friendly. It comes with the Blunt flex brake, which worked good, and kept the scooter sounding solid. The thing I noticed the most was how light the deck was. A heavy street rider might think twice about trying anything big. But if you are a little on the lighter side, you will get a lot of life out of this deck. You will also get signature Blunt griptape with the complete.
Finally down to the wheels. They were really fast. Blunt I tried to dehub them for a while, did some powerslides and some really hard sideways landings…but they held up just fine. Being a big wheel guy, I would say these were probably my favorite part on the Blunt complete.


Overall this is a great scooter for any rider. Whether you are just getting into the sport, or are simply looking for a really solid complete scooter. For the price you are getting a really good deal. As I mentioned above if you are a rider who isn’t too graceful with their landings, and rides a lot of big street. This might not be the deck for you. But if you are on the lighter side, and prefer to ride a lot of park, I don’t think you will have any problems this deck.

Blunt/Envy AoSv2 Deck Closer Look

There is no doubt that Blunt has made a huge name for themselves not just in Australia(known as Envy in Aus now) and the USA, but have since also made a huge impact in the sport all over Europe. A lot of people are excited over the release of the new AoSv2 Deck. Below is some information provided by Aaron Bransdon, and it describes in detail all of the features of the new deck. So check that out below.



Blunt Scooters (known as Envy Scooters in Australia) have been testing new concepts, designs and final model products for most of 2011, and are ready to release a new line of products in Late 2011 that will set a new standard in the industry.

We caught up with the owner of Blunt to have a quick look at the next generation Ace of Spades deck, or ‘AoSv2’. Although the deck kept similar dimensions to the old model Ace of Spades, including the 500mm long deck, 110mm wide and 82.5 degree headtube angle, nearly everything else has undergone radical change to improve the strength, life and way the deck feels under your feet. The deck employs the first use of one-piece hollow cold-forging seen in the industry. The headtube uses this technology and has become considerably stronger as a result. Cold-forging is known to be at least 3 times stronger than normal extruded aluminium.


Along with this added strength to the headtube, the deck comes stock with integrated headset cups. There are two different styles in the deck, a street model and a park model. The street model has a flat bottom to enable faster, smoother, longer grinds, while the park model keeps a similar extrusion to the new Envy deck on the market now, both will have a standard 3degrees of concave.

This is the first time we’ve seen Blunt’s new brake system as well, and it will come stock on the AoSv2 and Envy Deck. It’s a slide-in flex fender and requires no extra drilling or bolts, maintaining the integrity of the deck. The deck also comes with a high tensile axel to be used with pegs.



This deck weighs in at an astounding 1.19kg(2.6lbs) before adding the brake, making it one of (if not) the lightest deck on the market. It will be available in Red, Black, Purple and Silver. This deck looks like an incredible change from the original, and we’re amazed at the work that Blunt has put into it to not only improve on the last, but to go beyond. We’re looking forward to seeing how it performs, and we’ve no doubt it’ll out-perform many decks on the market right now, it’s been in testing for around 6 months, and not one crack or snap has occurred.




All sounds pretty good, I'll get my hands on one as soon as possible to check it out in person. I can say one thing though, Mitch Baldry of Envy Scooters sure loves his deck, as that can be seen here in a Backflip Barspin to fakie shot by Aaron Bransdon at the recent JJ3 Competition.

Blunt's Max Peters Scooter Check + Blunt No Longer Called Blunt in Australia???

Since Blunt Pro Scooters hit the scene they have proven to be a real powerhouse of a company. From the products they manufacture, all the way to the Team of riders they have all around the world. Recently Blunt has been up to its usual ways, designing and manufacturing new products for the community. They have always been very innovative and these new products from them are proof of that. In that scooter check we got to see a sneak peak of the new wheel Blunt is working on the “Rebate Wheel”. This wheel is designed for all you riders out there that are sick of buying new wheels after flat spotting or chunking them. Which is a big problem in our sport today. The idea behind it is you can change the PU over in minutes for a faction of the cost of buying a whole new wheel, something that we’ve never seen in the sport so far.

The other new product in this scooter check is the new and very much improved AOSv2 deck. Blunt has put a ton of money and time into developing, what they say, is a new era in scooter decks. The front of the deck is one piece cold forged, and unlike other one piece head tubes its fully hollow inside. This deck is expected to come in at 1250gms making it one of the strongest and lightest decks on the market.

Other news from Blunt, that is bound to get people’s attention, is the name change in Australia. Reasons for this are still cloudy, but what Inside has been told is that it’s a new direction Blunt is heading. So for everyone In Australia, Blunt is now called Envy, Anywhere else in the world. Jordan Jasa....Throwaway?

There comes a time in every riders life... actually no. There comes a time in a very select few riders life, that they reach the point where their "Throwaway" videos can be watched with 100% enjoyment leaving you wondering, "If this is throwaway...what is considered good footage?" That's what I'm asking myself after watching Inside-Scooters Founder, Jordan Jasa's latest video. So much good stuff in here, great street riding for sure. Check it out and comment.
