New Fuzion Z400

Well, since Fuzion hit the scene it has been pretty hard to take them seriously. From the four wheeled scooters, to the plastic deck scooters.. Well they're back and their newest model looks easily better than the previous models before it. That's not to say it doesn't have some strange features. One of them being, wait for it, integrated front and back pegs?? For more information see the photo below, and if you want to see how it performs, watch the Scooter check/Review below that from two Nor Cal Fuzion riders.

They had the scooter available to test ride at the Epic Comp this past weekend. I wonder if anyone rode it and can post some feedback ?

  2. I think the integrated back peg may be a good idea, not sure about that front peg though... cuz it's not really in the same location as normal front pegs.

  3. Great, so you can grind down the aluminum pegs and have the deck practically be worthless. and not have the option of having steel pegs is just dumb. They still have cheap clamps, wheels and brake on this scooter. The clamp looks like a District knock off, but since they're produced in China it wouldn't be a surprise that its from the same manufacturer. The wheels are Yak knockoffs, once again, probably from te same manufacturer. The brake looks like the Envy fenders that snap in a week or two.
Consider my comments biased though. Fuzion has always been ridiculous. Just riding off the back of their failed four wheel scooter "sport". They said their Fuzion Elite model was the next big thing and t was a failure on all ends. Not a single quality part on the scooter.

    1. Anyone else catch the FrenchID Oversized V.2 knockoff bar design also?!

  4. There was one of these Yank scooters at Deeside skatepark, its not cheap at all. the clamp was awesome. all the riders were going crazy over it. I think they can up with a good scooter.

    3. Haha, as far as I know, the only parts made anywhere other than America are the bearings (Titen), grips (Raptor), and maybe the headset, but knowing Odyssey, they might be made in American. Everything else is 100% American made. But thanks for your concern in quality, Anonymous.

  7. The back integrated peg actually is sick. Id be down to at least try out the scooter.

  8. The scooter isnt that bad. The deck is actualy sick. Looks odd but it actualy pretty inovative. Seems like grind friendly on soany levels. Pegs flat bottom flat sides. But the oversized headset bottom pieceakes it incompatable with mormal headsets, and since the fok is made larger to sit flush, they would look huge on anything els and the deck would look wierd without.

  9. Is there any etiquette for kids riding scooters? I only allow my son to ride on the sidewalk and I tell him to try to keep a good distance away from pedestrians. I don't want him terrifying any old ladies.

  10. Where's the Josh Toy is a tool comment? I'm shocked! Does this mean that we are not reading every comment sent into Inside? So like when everyone was bashing Marcel and District we were only reading one side of the agenda? Seems very dangerous to limit speech!

    1. It's not limiting speech. It's called we own this website, and we don't need to publish comments that have nothing to do with the video/post. And are only being posted to bash/hate on other riders. And if you're going to put yourself as "Anonymous" that's even more reason to not have your comment published. Try harder.

    2. Steven your website is all propaganda. All your site does is bash people, specially sponsors and companies and whats funny is its people you take money from. Sure you have the right to allow what you want on this site but its all BS, not the truth. All your little robots believe your crap like following the sheep over the cliff. There are a lot of people who really matter in this sport that think your nothing in the grand scheme of things, your just background noise.

      Delete
    3. And we have so many sheep too. I think we recently topped 5 million hits at ISB. Thanks Sheep.

But you're right, people hate us. Companies hate us. We definitely don't have a lot of advertising companies at all. They hate us, that's why they keep paying us. Makes perfect sense man. You're obviously really smart.

    4. Josh Toy is right, Steven T is right, Fuzions are actually a joke (Whose idea was integrated pegs? Dumb.) Inside isn't some conspiracy and they don't feed me lies. Fucking hell. I'm sure the 'people who really matter in the sport' aren't even riders.
'Josh Toy jump off a bridge'... You realise he's been a huge part in the sport probably longer than you've even known it existed?

    5. That's funny, anonymous. Because Steven is very knowledgeable in this sport. He has been around since the beginning. He isn't biased in the slightest bit. Bashing?! hahaha. If peoples/companies information gets laughed at, that is that said person/companys fault. That is exactly what happened here. People that know better, voice their opinions on their shortcomings. This website is a job, which takes up a large amount of his and Jordans time. And when you put forth as much effort as these two do, you don't have the option of getting a full time job, so this becomes that. Every scooter rider wishes they could make a career in this sport. Nobody wants a 9-5 job when they are ride their scooters and absorb their lives around scootering. The sport we love and have helped grow. There will always be those companies in it for a buck. But they sure as hell better be ready to get shat on when they pay to post something that intelligent riders will laugh at.
Keep it up, keyboard warrior, you.

  12. Did someone generally just tell Josh Toy to jump off a bridge? This guy has more knowledge in his little finger than you do in you whole body, Josh is right Fuzion is just another corporate company, which will just leave the scooter scene as soon as things go bad. They arn't comitted to the sport and are only in it for the money. This will probably be posted as anonymous but i dont give two shits im from the UK and my name is Dean Watton and im giving my opinion.

  13. What a joke, as always. Glad they upped their designs substansially, but those pegs look ridiculous (especially the front). From the beginning i have just seen Fuzion as a horrible attempt to make money. Great toy for kids, for sure. But not as a competitor with current "extreme" scooter companies that have quality parts meant to last. And gosh, you kids making fun of Josh Toy have no respect. Dude makes me look new to the sport.

  14. Matt, it's all good. I shared my opinion. But because I'm painfully honest in my opinions, they will hate and read into my comments.

Fuzion is and always will be, the company that tried to snatch OUR riders for their gimmick of a four wheel piece of trash they tried to push onto us. Their attempts failed. And when they did succeed, they simply bought the riders by promising trips on a regular basis and pay for any media the riders produced. I still remember them paying to have a Fuzion catagory at the XW comp way back in the day. Pathetic. The worst back handed slap to us, was them taking Frank Coler away from us and screwing him in the process. Frank was on his way to becoming a HUGE powerhouse in this sport. And Fuzion killed that for all of us. I will give Fuzion one thing, and one thing only. Their quality has improved a lot since the Elite model. But it's still trash.
My comments on the pegs, by the way, was simple. The deck is aluminum. Anyone who has ridden an aluminum peg has experienced how short of a lifespan they have if you're actually using them to grind. Them grinding through, will created a gapping hole at the dropout or at the front of your deck. This will weaken those points. The integrated peg design is cool in theory, but on paper, very dumb. This is coming from someone who ran the first scooter pegs, and continues to ride four pegs to this day. I know how pegs work, and what happens to them when you aren't just using them to make your scooter look cool.

  15. I also forgot to mention one major downfall in this scooter. Just like the Elite, with odd-sized parts, the 1.5 inch oversized headset bearing limits you to other brands of integrated headsets. They claim for quality and durability. But this is a big inconvenience to the customer. No dealer carries this part. And nobody is going to make the acception just because Fuzion did it. Go check online at legitimate scooter dealers. See how many actually carry Fuzion. You will find that none are, and there is a reason for that.

  16. i rode this at the epic comp last weekend because some of my friends are on fuzion. it definitely seems like fuzion is actually trying to make good parts by listening to what riders say and coming to comps with them. the deck definitely looks weird but i was surprised at how good it felt. i'm not sure about the integrated pegs idea but they slide good. it will suck when they grind down i'm sure though. the wheels were surprisingly good though. and josh, actually alot of mountain bikes have switched to the design with the 1.5 bottom bearing and companies make headsets for them so it shouldn't be a problem finding a headset that fits

  17. It doesn't matter if Fuzion makes a "good" scooter or not. The brand is still Fuzion, thus, it will always be looked as shit by anyone with an opinion worth respecting. Their image is hyper-tarnished after the dark ages of their 4-wheeled pieces of plastic. The old-grey-haired-white-guy owners need to eliminate the Fuzion brand and release their products under a different brand name. Personally, I'd prefer if that company jumped off a bridge instead of Josh.

  18. Blake, that's good that MTB is using them. But scooters don't need them. It only adds weight to the scooter. But like I said, no legit scooter dealers are going to carry those type of integrated headsets. And they certainly aren't going to start carrying them just because Fuzion made their scooter with odd-sized parts. This is a sport with standardized parts. And they feel the need to go away from that, which makes it an inconvenience for the customer who was fooled into buying the product. I work at the Santa Clarita Scooter Zone location. I have a lot of customers who come in with Elites wanting to switch from ICS to SCS. Only to find out they will have to switch their bars out along with buying the clamp itself. That leads to more money they didn't know they would have to spend. It's unfortunate for the customer. I mean hell, even Razor has gotten it through their heads that they need to make their products standardized so that you, the customer, don't have any problems going part to part. And I definitely don't see any brands hoping on the bandwagon using 1.5 inch sealed bearings.
It's just not smart business on Fuzions part...

  19. All I see is Josh blabbing his mouth. I'm not even going to take the time to read it because I am a mindless scooter kid who doesn't care. Your opinion is about is good as mine.

  20. Hey this is Ryan Myers, I was in the scooter review and just wanted to say that Fuzion is trying to become more rider friendly and make better parts while being original. Being on Fuzion is pretty fun and the people at Fuzion are pretty chill too.

  21. ohhhhhhhhh the stories

  22. dang!!! why cant we all just be friends. for those who were trying to tell josh off thats not cool he is an O.G. you should respect the people that have helped nourish our sport to what it is today. but then again we all need to calm down here eh em... (josh). they tried to make a good product and weather you think they did or didn't is your opinion and just because they made a product risk you shouldn't bash on them cause thats slander.(i got yo back ryan. its pj) but all in all we need to stick together and stop these little fights between us and try and expand our sport the best we can the right way together.

  23. Or, you guys can atleast try the new deck before completely bashing on it for what fuzion has done in the past

    ReplyDelete
  24. This just shows you why Josh Toy is irrelevant anymore. The only time you hear from the guy is when he's cutting someone or something down. So glad you don't represent the sport anymore.

  25. its a gimmick! anyone who can't see that is blind.
i personally find shit like this, offensive.

  26. I think the deck is legit n original n a lot of shops sell the headset that comes with the fusion i even have the same headset on my bike lol (troy king)
