So recently a one piece deck showed up on Scooter Resource. People were wondering who made it, where it came from, etc etc. Upon doing some investigating I now know and have pictures that show this to be the District Complete Scooter. Here are the details on the parts that will be on it.
Deck: 2.2lbs Special Extruded 6061 Alu Heattreated with Concave Anodized
Fork: 4130 Chromoly Heattreated with Gussets front and back
Bars: 3 piece bars Adjustable crossbar due to the stem Full Alu Heattreated Anodized
Wheels: Metalcores Made by Eagle Sport
Griptape: District Signature Griptape
Grips: District Signature Foam Grips
Clamp: District Single Clamp Anodized
Headset: District Steel Threaded Headset
Bearings: District Signature Bearings
Brake: Details will be released on this soon. As well as pictures. But I do know it will NOT use a through and through Axle style brake system. Nor will it use a stock razor pro brake.
Here are some pictures
The price range for this complete scooter that will come in it's own box, is set to be around 199.00-239.00usd. Now considering that some one piece Decks by themselves right now on the market are reaching as high 170.00usd for just a deck...I think it sounds like a good deal. Don't forget all of the stuff you see on this scooter, will also of course be sold seperatley. For more information on District and updated pictures keep checking Inside-Scooters Blog.
people didn't know who made it? it says district on pretty much every piece... a duh
ReplyDeletehead tube scares me, price shocks me, grips make me excited. idk what to think. its lighter then an ultra pro how the hell... i need to see reviews on this. id get one as a spare scooter just because i love building my own. im sure this will change scooters reputation and make it more popular though. i like where scooter part makers are going with this.
ReplyDeleteI think the price is actually pretty fair. The one piece deck alone, and the eagle wheels...if we were comparing this Deck to one of the pricier decks on the market...lets say 160.00 + two eagle wheels another 60 at the least...is 220 right there. Then you're getting 3 piece bars, and a chromoly fork..all anodized....Sounds like a good deal..lol
ReplyDeletelol i meant that in a good way. i though these completes starting to come out would be 400-500 bucks. when i saw the price and weight i almost dropped my computer. headtube scares me abit though. the gap in the headtube doesn't look too reassuring.
ReplyDeletewhere can you order this from? whats the districts website? looks soooo sick and that price is fucking cheap for a complete
ReplyDeleteInvestigating? not so much investigating as it is checking your email...haha :)
ReplyDeletelemme test one out stevie
Jordan I'm sure IS will be testing these bad boys.
ReplyDeleteI've got a stiffy
ReplyDeleteWow That price is amazing.
ReplyDeleteits kinda retarded tho, French ID only opened district to distraact everybody when they were anonymously designing and making new parts, i like the scooter and all, like its orgasmical, but its all basically owned by French ID, district is just another name, to provee it, compare the FiD and district clamps
ReplyDeletePlease don't post about things you don't know.....French ID has absolutley nothing at all to do with District....District was not meant to "distract" anyone from anything..lol..and is not owned by ANYONE on French ID...You really don't know what you're talking about..lol.
ReplyDeleteThis is an extremely good deal for what you are getting.
ReplyDeleteThe fear of that headtube is natural but wait untill the reviews come out. I think this is an amazingly good deal esp cause you get a 1 piece deck chromo fork All anodized eagle metal cores good bars and a unique clamp design.
I've heard good things about District so far and look forward to seeing many more great things to come.
if you cut a plate to reinforce the headtube it would be good but if the deck is shit then take out16dollars but then it is still worth it0
ReplyDeleteDo you think its possible this will be out before christmass?
ReplyDelete^ definitely not, if u want one really bad just ask for money and then save up

ReplyDeleteif you want a district, you wont be able to get one for 6-10 weeks. the district company totally sold out of ALL their decks. i got the last one in austraila. idk if some more priave companiesa have any more but i got a letter directly from thr district company saying that i have been lucka, and that i got the last district. but i love the deck. i would say for anybody who wants it, wait....iut is well worth the wait. it looks weak bet it is hella strong.
